Job Promotion is Bad for You

In a recent British research, experts were testing the assumption that a job promotion enhances good health because of an upgrade in self-worth. However, according to the findings of the study, people who are promoted in their job will be too preoccupied with their career that they have less time to visit their doctors, and will be subjected to more work-related stress. Stress we know, causes many illnesses. Do you agree? I do...in my case, when I was promoted to administrative positions, my work has become so stressful I underwent two major surgeries, one minor, diabetes, and recently, a slip disc. The doctor was asking me about the type of work that I do, and insinuated that my slip disc could be stress-induced. Well, it's not really bad as it sounds because I'm really ok now...I hope fellow mylotters will learn from my experience. Of course, I manage stress by going to the beauty parlor and to the spa as often as I can. It's good to pamper ourselves once in a while. It's also a good time to bond with my daughter. What about you? Do share....what do you think of this finding?
