Does anybody collect them?
I have about 40 books and 5 folders of recipes that I have printed from the internet.
I read online somewhere that one person had over 3,000 cook books, some of them antique. I would love to collect cook books like that!

Don't know how many I do actually own but I know its probably close to 200, sometimes when I am feeling down I like to sit next to my bookcase at the bottom of the stairs and have a good long rummage and read of a few. I am mostly interested in Herbs and spices and the health benefits of such things if taken with food but it does depend on my mood. I have my baking days, bread mostly but biscuits and cakes also, then I have my casserole and stew days. If I had nothing else to do I would be quite happy spending one hour looking for ideas and then another couple of hours cooking what I had thought up.

Well i don't collect "collect " but i have already tens of cook books. I mostly check recipes from internet but still like to have books. I always buy one book when ever i go to a bookstore and if it is on sale then i buy 2-3 books. I guess i will be a collector in few years.
Have a good day!

My mother seemed like to collect cook books, but i don`t think it necessary.I mean she is really a good cooker, she love to create special food by herslf,so the cook books is unuseful for her.
