Eat a lot of nuts and dried fruits. These are very healthy food that can help you increase weights. Nuts and dried fruits combined are high in fats and sugar. But it is the good fats and sugar. Nuts are considered as whole food, meaning you can get all the nutrients from them.
But once you gain weight, you may find it hard to lose it again. Usually people who are 30 years old and above have higher time losing weight.

Good luck to your quest to gain weight.
Just a word of caution on buying nuts and seeds. Don't buy those processed nuts. They usually contain a lot of salt and oil.
There are a lot of healthy unprocessed nuts and seeds. Some are sold as a mixture of different nuts and fruits, and promoted as healthy products.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So don't skip it. Eat at regular intervals of three and a half to four hours.
Hydrate yourself with 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day. Carbonated beverages, aerated drinks and caffeine-rich beverages are a no-no. They cause water-loss from your body.
Consume a good amount of protein in your daily diet but not in excess. This will help you put on weight. Milk and milk products are an excellent source of protein. Have low fat non-vegetarian foods like egg whites, fish, lean portions of chicken instead of red meats
Instead of refined cereals like maida white bread have whole grains like wheat, jowar, ragi, bajra, oats etc.

Hi,
There's a powder called "perfect start". It is a great way to gain weight.
This powder is actually a whole meal in a glass. This means, that if you drink this 2-3 times a day, you would gain weight eventually.
And... there is no such thing as gaining weight without getting some fat... unless you work out. My suggestion is - get this powder with workout. Worked for me :)
I gained about 7 KGs in about 2 months, and most of it was muscle (since I also worked out).
I continue to work out, and take the powder regularly, and I now neither gain weight or lose it (I'm 76 KGs for more than 2 years!).

Can I give you some indian way of gaining weight? It may seem funny but it will work. First off, don't try to fiddle with the metabolism. Do a lot of exercise, as much your body can tolerate. Eat healthy food like indians do - use lots of 'desi' ghee, butter, pranthas, fried stuff (mutton, butter chicken if you are non vegetarian) etc. You should see progress without going to doctor. See gaining weight should not be prob unless it is hereditary, it is the weight loss that most people now a day face.

its very easy to get fat, you just have to eat a lot, sleep a lot, drink lots of water.. eat every hour, with anything, just make sure that you dont engage in eating a lot of junkies coz it will make you sick. eat a lot of carbohydrates, especially noodles, spaghetti and white breads. eat a lot of protein.

well i guess it is your metablosim that is burning the food you eat so fast that your body have no time to store them and become fat.. you are really lucky. it is so much easier to gain weight than to lose weight! your problem is really easy.
even if you are really thin, i think just eat the right amount of food you can handle, eat more meat, and carbohydrates... and milk as well. i know someone who used to drink a lot of milk and his body weight has increased...

Eat more dairy food like cheese. I heard it adds more fat. You dont have to eat unhealthy to add weight. Anything with a higher fat content will add weight. Not saying you have to eat unhealthy , just different foods. More meat will help also.
Honestly though ,there is many people out there who wish they could loose weight and your trying to gain it.

Dear friend,
There are many ways through which weight can be gained. But each person or individual have their of body structure. Hence a clear diagonise by a specialist is needed for weight gaining in futther to avoid to get any negative impact. Hence I feel for this it would be appropriate to consult with a specialist in this area.

I think it's because you're 16. You have plenty of time to gain weight. Just make sure you eat lots of food that's good for you. Otherwise you might run into heart or other health problems.

My friend had this same problem but instead of eating healthy he just piled on the donuts. This did not work as you might have expected and he just ended up with bad acne. I'd say just eat lots of good carbs (like pasta) or use something from a health store that will help you gain the weight.

this is really abnormal!! I have two friends always complaining about their weight, which keep increasing. I will give several suggestions:
1) don't skip breakfast, lunch or dinner, that's to say, always eat.
2) sometimes, some snacks are good
3) sleep, sleep, anyway, enough sleep
4) fast food is also an option if you can stand it
Enjoy!
