Well, love will find it's way if you really love a person. No matter how you met him/her. I am not against online dating. It's the easiest way to find other people that who might be the one.

My husband and I met in a chat room on accident. We were in there chatting and I was in a really bad mood going off on anyone who rubbed me the wrong way. I announced that I did not want anyone to IM me that I was only chatting in the room. Well a few minutes later i recieved and IM from someone I had never seen in the room before. We started chatting and became good online friends. Thats all we wanted. I was not looking to get with anyone. A few moths down the road we decided to met up and hang out well 5 years and 2 kids later we are still happy as can be. I do think love can happen on the internet and it can last just as long as it would if you met him in the store but just the same be careful. Online they can tell you everything you want to here and no have a single word of it be true. Congrats to yuo prncesfrmheaven I wish you both the amount of happiness I have found.

Way to go girl! I am so happy for you. They always say that love will find you even when you aren't looking. I was never really scared to meet people online, sometimes it's easier to chat with them and become friends first. Don't get me wrong I did have one horrible experience online and luckily I never did meet them in person but I did talk to them on the phone and got a little attached. And then found out later that they were lying their butt off. LOL It's ok though it was a long time ago.

I met my fiance online and we have meet on person as he proposed to me. I choose to believe that faith or destiny made us met online. We already have win many hardships on our relationship and it make us both a better person as well as it made us both stronger on our relationship. Long distance relationship is really hard but if both are really meant to each other then i believe distance is not an obstacle. I believe that our relationship will last. Have a nice day!

Congratulations Cheenlly! I am happy for you. You are right there are obstacles in every relationship and if you can get through those then it's usually a sign that things will work out.

the person I am with today I met on plenty of fish, and we are coming up one our 1 year, and talking about marriage. You can find the special someone anywhere, it's a matter of taking risks in life. And what's life without risks?

I have dated a few people that I have met online... and most of them I have met in person. None of the relationships lasted, for various reasons, however, one of them to this day remains my best and most highly valued friend.

I've had two online lovers before and we did meet even twice. He lived in the other side of the planet. But, I'll tell you..online dating can frustrate you sometimes. Dont expect that what they are online will be the same person that you will gonna meet. They can hide their real personality, and they can lie to you. They can say you are the only one they have chatted. But the real is, you are just one of the 5 or 10. But, I'm not telling that all of them are like that. Only most of them. But, in my experience i promise to myself "I will never try online dating anymore".

Hey kolen
I am sorry you had such a horrible experience. And you are very correct when you say that people will lie about who they are. And that most of the time you aren't the only person that they are talking to. I got lucky I believe!

Ooh your so lucky! I am so scared to do that. I mean not that I am saying that there are a lot of scums but I need to look after myself. There are so mnany horror stories about online dating. Its just scary. I would like to try but its hard to know if the person is truthful or not.

Yea it's a little scary. We actually started by emailing and talking on the phone. Then on my vacation a friend and I drove down to see her. A few months later she moved with me and we have been together ever since.

I have many online friends. Most are just online friends. We chat on the net and keep "online relation".I only meet my online friend once during my college life.I haven't contacted to him for two years due to some reasons. But i believe the relationship can last if we can keep in touch with each other frequently.

I have many online friends but I fear I havent met any of them in person.
And about the relationship I think if both have dedication for the same then it can last forever.
And you are so lucky to find your partner online.Congratulations.

Thank you! I haven't met anyone I ever talked to online before. I have friends that have been my friends for a long time and have never met them. But I knew when I first started talking to my girlfriend that she was "the one" she is the person that I want to be with for the rest of my life.
