Hi guys, I am from Bohol, Philippines. It is one of the provinces in the Central Visayas region and is very well known for it's beautiful tourist spots. "Scenic Bohol casts an enigmatic charm drawn from the many archaic mementos spread throughout the oval-shaped island: from the Chocolate Hills and the tarsier to 16th century watchtowers and Jesuit Baroque mission churches." http://www.tourism.gov.ph/explore_phil/place_details.asp?content=description&province=39 I am very proud of the place where I came from, especially that our natural wonders here are appreciated all over the world! Have a happy summer!!

I think the picture people have when they think of Chicago is that of the Sears Tower and the skyline of downtown. Once the tallest building in the world, you can ride up to the skydeck in a matter of seconds become witness to one of the best views in the world. On a clear day, you can actually see four different states, and at night the lights can just take your breath away. But, besides that Chicago has several world class museums, professional sports teams (including my favorite Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field), city and neighborhood festivals (like the Taste of Chicago, with samples available from over 70 restaurants for every taste, starting near the end of June). And if that doesn't do it for you, we have what is known as the Magnificent Mile, which is referring to the shopping on Michigan Avenue not far from the many beaches along Lake Michigan. There are just too many things to talk about. But that's a little glimpse as to why I love this city that I live in!

I live in Austin Texas, the capital of the once proud republic of Texas. We have everything from the French Legation, to the LBJ Library. The short story writer O Henry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O._Henry lived here for many years and the first mass shooting, Charles Whitman from the University tower also happened here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Whitman You can visit the State Capital building, or cruise 6th street, where there is an active live music scene. Come in mid-March and catch South by Southwest (SXSW) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_by_Southwest and discover what Austin is known for these days! Willie Nelson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Ray_Vaughan are 2 famous musicians. And that's not even getting out side of the Austin City Limits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_City_Limits to see the beauty of Texas, tho the best time to come in in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom!

Hi Elic, now that you mentioned all those, I now know some stuff about your place. Thanks for the info. Austin is indeed very interesting. I am very sorry though that I couldn't open all the links you provided because my internet is so slow. We are using broadband where the speed fluctuates from slow to slower. :-(

Crater lake is the most famous place in Oregon people come from all over the world to see that beautiful lake. It is in the mountains and only opens when the snow has melted enough to open the roads.

I know you can fish there, but it's only famous for how deep it is and it's beauty, you can take a tour boat on it. Our coast line is also outstanding, it has wonderful views of amazing rocks, light houses to tour, sand dune to drive over, there is some surfing and great fishing. It tends to be cold in the water. We have a lot of history places, but you have to remember that USA history is less than 300 years unless you are interested in native American history which is much older. There are cave drawings but the most toured places are our natural beauty spots.

The most famous tourist spot near me is Myrtle Beach. I moved to South Carolina years ago, but I grew up in the central part of Florida. About all of Florida is a tourist spot. The main one is Walt Disney Word.

Well if you mean the exact lattitude and longitude, hehe, I am so sorry, but well Bohol is a province in the Central Visayas. If you happen to have a plane that flies to the Philippines, you should be able to get to Manila. From Manila you can best arrive to Bohol through plane from Manila to Bohol. Better yet, try to arrange with a travel agency. It is much more convenient that way.

Hi, Theresaaiza! In Sumter, South Carolina, our tour would be Swan Lake Gardens. This is where I think that many people like to take walks like they are on a tour. This is the only place that I can think of. We don't have too many site attractions here in this county. There are a few golf courts as well. I would need to go to Columbia, Charleston, Florence or Orangeburg to see the other site attractions. I wished that I lived in another country, because there are many tourism sites there that one can enjoy.

I see, but I think Swan Lake is good enough for me. I love places that are peaceful and quiet.

Hi Theresa, can I join? We're kababayans, I'm from the bicol region. You probably know what's famous here, yapp, the Mayon Volcano, the one with perfect cone. Although the cone was quite damaged with one of it's erruptions, but still so beautiful. We have the Cagsawa Ruins, the church which was covered with mudflows, rocks and other debris while thousands of people who went for shelter were trapped inside, when the volcano errupted leaving just the church tower out. so many beautiful beaches are now famous as tourst spots in Camarines sur and other parts of Bicol.

Who wouldn't recognize Mt. Mayon? The postcards aren't enough to put justice into the real thing. It is very beautiful. How I wish I could visit your place. Bicol is known for very spicy dishes, right? If I am not mistaken. :-) So glad you joined, kabayan!

Hmm...I live in Vancouver and we have a number of tourist hot spots. I think one of the more popular ones here would be Queen Elizabeth Park...I always see tourists there especially during spring and summer. Oh, and a lot of people like to go to Whistler too, for skiing.

Hi theresaaiza =) Besides bohol, boracay is one of the most famous tourist spot here in our country. Boracay boasts of a sugary white sand beach and blue waters. It is also called the 'the finest beach in the world'. Boracay is a perpect place for watersports. From swimming and snorkeling to scuba diving, windsurfing, sailboating, kayaking, boardsailing and boating. For adventurers and loves nature tripping, the island is ideal for hiking, island hopping, hiking, trekking, caving, mountain climbing, biking and horseback riding. Trekking and mountain climbing can bring even the intrepid to the island's quaint interior villages and to the edges scenic rocky cliffs, discovering along the way many hidden coves with isolated beaches far from the tourist crowd.

oh hi kababayan. I wish I could visit Boracay. It is very famous. The beaches here are just as beautiful. No, I am not bragging. hehe. I am proud of all tourist spots in the Philippines. But the difference between Boracay and here is that in Bora, it's really a party place, right? Bohol beaches are the more silent and serene counterpart of Boracay, although I have seen on TV other white beaches that are as wonderful as Bora.

I live near Charleston, SC. The entire place is a tourist attraction. From historic buildings to the Naval Museum and Patriot's Point. There is something for any type of tourist in this area. The Charleston Aquarium is also pretty neat.

Is the aquarium like the ones that look like a big underwater tunnel with clear glass so you could see the fishes and other aquatic creatures? I haven't been to one. There is one here in the Philippines but is not anywhere near and i think it's expensive too.

I am from Denmark and live an island Fyn (Funen). The famous fairytale writer, Hans Christian Andersen was born on this island, and his museums are some of the most famous sights. One of the parks in Odense was also named after him and it is called the fairytale garden. The composer, Carl Nielsen was also born on this island, but he is not as famous as Hans Christian Andersen. There are many small islands close to Funen, and it possible to visit many of them. Some of these islands have very few inhabitants. There are no shops or museums, but the islands are very beautiful.
