Internet seems like a basic need for us nowadays. It's where you get the latest news, communicate with your friends, watch TV, get mail, buy stuff, etc. Though living without the internet is not at all impossible, it surely is hard to live without it. I know as I've experienced it when our internet went down for a month. xD And gawd was it difficult!!! So, do you think you can do it? How would you survive?

I agree with the above responder. We really can survive without the world wide web. Our parents and ancestors were not that addicted or do not know about it and yet they survived. It maybe hard at first, but human resoluteness will prevail and we will learn to adopt.

I cant imagine my life without the net nowadays :( I remember myself waiting to connect to the internet with a dial up connection and how slow and terrible it was. Internet turned out to be a way to do soooo many things -- long distance calling, downloading... even sending a cv is simpler these days :)

I'd like to think that I can survive without the internet. I mean, I was already here before cellphones entered the picture and before most homes had at least one computer in them. I did just fine. It's just a matter of getting used to things.

I can't live without internet and I consider it vital for my living. It is something like a basic need for me and without I consider my world boring. I get online everyday and I consume maximum to 5 hours and sometimes 3 hours. I experienced that our internet connection was cut and I cant live without get into and that's why I always go to internet cafe. I consider it very important because its the only way that I keep in touch personally with my friends here and abroad and check my e-mails.

Of course we can survive without the internet but who wants to, it's like living without ice cream! I too love the internet but if it all went away then I guess I'd go back to my old way of life, (before computers)!

Heck no. Barely. Maybe if it was like the early 90s or something when i didn't have the internet (Yet) then yeah. It's funny because nowadays I look upon those days where I didn't have it as kinda boring in a way. Yuck lol.

Yes I would survive but I would need a serious attitude adjustment. I have become so dependent on logging in anytime I want to know something right away or want to tap into a social network or find out information about making money. I use to do a lot of reading of books which I probably would go back to.

LoL, well my house has no electricity and therefor no internet right now. I'm staying at my moms entil I get my electric back on, and the pain of my brother dying on my kitchen floor eases a little.

I will be honest, i would be very annoyed with no internet, lol. It is convenient. It caters perfectly to my education. I am earning my degree online though an accredited college. I love it, i can still hold a full time job and go to school full time and even better there is no commute for me. I chose this route of education because i am just not comfortable in the class room. I have to be comfy to learn.. all people are different. But if it came down to it and there was no more internet I would just have to kick it old school. I would go to an on ground school, i would write letter and mail them and make phone calls. It would take some getting used to, but hey.. it is what it is.

Well the way I look at it is I survived without it for most of my life, I have only been into the internet in the last 2 years I would say so I am pretty sure that I would cope without it. It would be really hard at first to readjust to not being able to just switch on the computer whenever I felt like it but after a while it would become bearable!!

Hi, I am able to survive without the Internet but life will be with less fun definitely. I would have to revert to other things I did in the past like watching more TV and listen to music through the Music Player. I will concentrate more in the preparation of exam as I have less distraction.

Well I think that the way the world and economy are set up now, that you really wouldn't be able to live without the internet, I mean from individuals all the way to the huge executives, we all count on it whether just for browsing or for presentations from a different country, plus they teach our children now to depend on it, my kids are only in 4th and 5th grade and they don't go a day in school without using it, so in our heads and beliefs yes we could live without it but I don't think anyone really realizes exactly what we need it for, I think that the job economy and alot of business would be gone without it. Thats just my thought.
