This is our pet dog Akita pedigree named Douglas. He as a strong built, perfect posture and his coat is shiny with three colors-black, brown and white. He is lovable and obedient. Just one thing though, his emotions are quite delicate. He easily gets rattled with noise. He would also bark non-stop when he sees us dressed up ready to go out. I really wonder why or is he being possessive?

My dog barks non-stop when he sees us dressed up ready to go out too. I don't think it really matters. He either thinks he's coming with you, or he doesn't want you to go. Dogs are like that.

Is this your first dog? Good luck to you, even if it's not!

I think that he just thinks of himself as a part of the family and therefore he should be able to be part of all family aspects such as when you go "Bye-Bye". There are books by Ceasr Millan that give great insight to your dog, his behavior, his fears, and what to do. I love his books especailly since we have five dogs all different breeds, and sizes. Hope this helps and Happy Easter!!

I think it's a normal thing. My chow chow used to do that a few years ago. But now i guess he got used to me going out a lot. So he just waits and run towards me every time i got home.
Its normal for a very loyal dog to do such.
