Have you even hock your stuff?

Have you ever went to pawn shop to hock your stuff for a much cheaper price? I knew most pawn shop might give you a much cheaper price for the stuff you willing to give up temporarily, but it is for emergency. Yesterday, I went with a friend of mine to a pawn shop to hock his camcorder for about $80. He needs it to pay for the bill, until he will get this job next week. It is my first experience to go in there. Learned something new. Have you ever pawn your stuff before?

. I think it's a good opportunity if you have things that you don't want - but I agree, they DO buy your things for a very small price compared to what you paid for it.
