Name three items that you find incredibly helpful or that you find amazing that you could not honestly survive without. Mine are: 1) the Internet- there seems to be nothing one cannot learn about or do because of it, keeps me connected to the outside world, 2) washing machines- in no way do I envy anyone who has ever had to wash and dry their clothes manually, it's such a taxing chore. I will never take washer/dyers for granted. 3)the automobile- I cannot drive, and being physically disabled, walking any sort of distance is not so easy for me. Allow, I greatly consider the idea that in lesser-developed countries, many people do not have access or money enough to own a vehicle, so they have to travel by bike or on foot, which would be impossible for me.

There are many inventions to mention when compared to old times. But I think the most important was the computer and internet, that connects people from around the world. I think the aeroplane was also a great invention, in case of where I live, that is an island, it would have taken days to reach other countries by sea. Also the mobile phone.

The airplane is definitely a wonderful thing...I find it astonishing that in just a few hours, a person can travel half-way around the world. That and the fact that objects actually have the ability to take flight as such will always be things that I will never truly fathom the concept of.

My three are (1). electricity, for without electricity we could not run our gadgets.
(2). Internet, for we can connect to anyone & anywhere, which is awesome. (3). Autos, for which it would take days to just go a distance that only takes us a few hours by auto.

Aah this is a tough one but a good discussion I think. Definitely the hand phone, it has the potential to save many lives where before there was no way to call for help. The internet and everything you can do with it, and the washing machine. The microwave is a good one too but I don't have one right now so I said washing machine.

Phones- An easy way to talk and txt your friends, I would be lost without it.
Cars- I wouldnt want to walk everywhere, especially to visit family in another state!
Air-conditioning- It gets really hot here in Australia, even with air con, it gets pretty hot. I would hate life without it.

This is a very interesting question. Three favorite inventions. 1.) Would absolutely have to be the Internet. You can learn all kinds of things just sitting in front of the computer. Through the internet you also can stay in contact with your friends and family. 2) That would have to be the refrigerator. You can keep things in the temperature they need to be and don't need to worry about them spoiling. and 3) Would have to be telephone. You can keep in contact with people simply by dialing the phone. So these are the three things that I would have to say for me.

Hi great discussion. The problem with choosing just three is difficult. Tor me it would have to be
1)Running water/indoor plumbing and 2) Electric or gas stoves, a while ago
they where doing repairs on the mains and they had to switch the water on and off
sporadically for a while, talk about frustrating.
then 3) the wheel which lead to the development of one of my favourite inventions
the engine be it steam, petrol or electric just the ability to travel.
Without the advent of trains and steam ships the other developments would
probably never have happened.

the discovery of electricity would probably be the very first thing that human kind would take as the major discovery in this lifetime. without it, it would be impossible for human kind to produce and manufacture products, create, invent, do research and a lot more.
then the invention of the wheel, though it may seem that it is a very simple piece of trash but without it, do you think that transportation by land would be possible?
lastly would be the discovery of ink...it had been the prime source of history from the early age, without it, there would probably be no history of any country, empire, dynasty and calligraphy of early civilization.

To me, following are the incredibles.
1) Electricity.
The source of many inventions and the centre for many inventions running successfully.
I cannot be without Aircondition or Fan in my place.
2) Vehicle.
I'm a voracious traveller and I cannot imagine a life where there is no car/bus/flight/train.
3) Musical instruments.
I love music a lot... so this is one of the inventions that amazes and amuses me.
