I'm thinking of starting another website to get traffic/referrals. I'm not looking to make much money. More like an experiment. I haven't made any websites in close to a year ago. I lost interest because none of my sites performed as expected. I have came up with some ideas , but i doubt they will work very well due to the high amount of competition. I know that pretty much every idea will work , you just need to market/advertise it right. Other ideas are easier to market than others. I'm not looking for you to give me a straight idea , i just need some opinions. I'm not new to creating/operating sites.

where you from bikespot? I'm thinking of creating a site too. My theme would be on Lotto Strategy. My audiences would be posting on how they play the lottery, some tips or tricks maybe. That will be fun i think.. :

I'm from Canada ,Ontario How do you plan on getting traffic to your site. You can have all the content you want but how do you plan on getting it out there. Sure you can tell your friends and post around , but do you have any big ways.

Another thing i would like to add is there really isn't any way you can get a better chance of winning. Yes if you buy/play more you have a better chance. Your better off just playing once a week/month than playing very often.

i don't know any big ways of getting traffic yet, but if I would give my domain some catchy names like winningthelottery.com, or surehit.com and have it registered, I think that would be a start. Then you would invite your friends and online friends, or email people you know, word would get around, and that will be it. Do you have pick3 lottery there? I think that game is very much winnable, it's basically on probability and statistics, there could really be some methods worthy of some lengthy discussions. :)

bikespot I am curious. How do you get referrals from unknown people? Do you pay them to joing? How this can be money making? I know you are asking for opinions, but I just don't understand how this works. Sometimes I have even heard (here in mylot) of people "borrowing" referrals. I just don't get it!

I still think that the best way to start a site is go for a specific niche rather than address everyone's concern (ie money-making online) because you'll have a lot of competition there and well, you need to score high in pagerank and do really well with keywords to be able to appear high in search engine results.
