Have you ever seen Carnivale?

It was an HBO show in 2004-2005. I rented it from Netflix, and it was only 2 seasons long. Here is the synopsis: Daniel Knauf's rivetingly creepy series continues to document the adventures of a motley crew of carnies who've made the Oklahoma Dustbowl their home in the 1930s. This season, Ben Hawkins (Nick Stahl) faces up to the fact that he may have been bestowed supernatural powers by a force he doesn't quite recognize. But that's not all that's happening in this strange town where the strange trumps the ordinary and wickedness permeates every event. It was so good, but I HATE how they left it hanging at the end of season two. I wondered if that was originally the season cliffhanger that they would have picked back up with for another season, or if that was how it was supposed to end. It is definatly worth watching, though. I just looked to see if it was based on a book, and I doesn't look like it was. Bummer. Have you seen this?
