born in 1929, almost eighty years of age . she has ruled the indian singing scene for over six decades!! a great versatile singer !!master of the classicals!! all indians will cherish this name for ever!!

and... not only indians.. people who have enjoying hindi films all over the world.. namely my mom, me and my darling hubby... we are a great fan of hindi films.. my husband can even sing in hindi.. but we dont speak hindi.. we dont even understand hindi...
