What will you be doing with your leftovers?

I have plenty of left over ham from our Easter meal. Other than ham and beans I can't think of a good creative way to fix our left overs. Sandwiches of course, but that is a given. Who has a good recipe to share?

Ham Salad might be nice. Even a salad with ham chunks. I would bet there are a number of casserole ideas which might apply. Unless you have a tremendous amount of ham left over, I usually find that baked ham makes a good snack late at night.

we have recently lost employment and not receiving unemployment benefits. we did not have the money for a large dinner. I made a meal with what we had on hand. The ham I pulled from the freezer was very small and there were no leftovers of it. I have some leftover potatoes (made hashbrown casserole with the rest of the sack of potatoes we had) which I will probably incorporate into a soup.

My son loves homemade scalloped potatoes, so I would be making that. It is really simple, but a little time consuming. You just slice up some potatoes and layer them in a casserole dish. Make a white sauce and stir in some ham chunks. Pour the white sauce over the potatoes, cover and bake for about 45 minutes.

I was going to make a breakfast dish out of mine. I found it in one of my cookbooks. Breakfast casserole it's called where the ham is mixed with eggs and spread over some french bread and then baked in the oven. I can't wait to see how it will turn out. I'll probably make that tomorrow night.

That sounds really good with the stuff poured over French bread instead of the cheap white bread that most recipes call for. I hope it turns out good for you. I like breakfast casseroles like that.

You could make a ham and egg omelet, maybe. I love ham as a leftover, I will even eat it cold!! And Easter leftovers are the best, there's hardboiled eggs I can use to make deviled eggs with, they are my favorite!! I wonder if it's a bad thing to make Deviled eggs out of Easter eggs. LOL.

Ham and potatoes and cheese make a good casserole. Also though it may not be something you have thought of, barbecue sause is not bad for a change on ham. There are tons of things you can use it in! I think it is allrecipes that you can list what you have and it will find recipes for you using ingredients you have at home

If you have a crock pot (slow cooker) get a couple boxes of scalloped potatoes and cub up some of the ham. Mix it all together and add some extra cheese. I like to use cheddar but you can use whatever you like. Slow cook it and serve with a salad. You can cook it in the oven if you want, it turns out the same way. I like to make it then put it under the broiler for a couple minutes so the top gets nice and brown. It's even better the next day, cold - straight from the bowl lol.

We really didn't have an Easter meal here. We just put some hamburgers and brauts on the grill for my husband and I. We did have some leftovers though and my husband will take with him to work.

I don't like wasting. We will add more ingredients inside the leftovers and it will be another delicious cuisine next day. I love China

Put beans to pot and add ham, onion, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cayenne and parsley and water to cover. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but if your beans are tender already you don't have to wait that long 30 minutes will be enough . Add more water if necessary during cooking time. And enjoy!

The first main thing is that we look and cook. We cook as much as is sufficient. But if sometimes it is left over, we make some other dish out of it and eat again.

I usually make leftovers fried rice since we still have the rice. Just make chinese fried rice and pour in the leftovers, not the one with gravy though (afterward it's no longer call chinese fried rice) If not, I'll just reduce the number of meals for the day and reheat the leftovers.
