Twitter Fan Following Problems

I recently joined Twitter mainly because of John Chow, the great internet guru. I clicked the Follow button to start following him. What happened next and is still happening everyday is that his fans have started following me too. I know it has some or more advantages but is it necessary to follow each of my followers as well?
What is your suggestion?

No, you don't have to. I don't have bio on Twitter and people are following me because one famous person is following me....

Same case here. John Chow, the internet guru, is following me on twitter so all his fans are also trying to follow me.

I get a lot of random people who aren't in my interests following me. Some just want to have a large number of people on their page, kind of like MySpace and FaceBook. I have less than 30 that I Follow or Follow me so it's not that hard to read updates. If someone posts more than 20 or 30 things at a time I wait it out and see if it is an isolated thing or if it is something that they do all the time. It makes it really hard to get updates if you have to keep hitting the "next page" button. I don't think it is necessary to Follow everyone that Follows you but if you see someone interesting or has common interests it can't hurt to try it for a couple days.

you don't have to follow someone just because he is following you...unless you have an agreement.

I was using his twitterfollower script also. I have more than one twitter account so I can follow people in all my different interests. I want my sports-related account unrelated to my stocks one. One account I follow back, the others I don't.
