I will eat salad first. I do not make a fruit salad, because they are more expensive. But I have had a cottage cheese salad with mixed fruit when we used to live in British Columbia. But now I make a salad out of Romaine lettuce, with baby spinach leaves, red and green peppers, green onions, brocolli flowerets, and will grate in some carrots and also add some cut up celery as well. That is my basic salad. And sometimes I will make a coleslaw by shredding cabbage, green peppers, celery, and green onions. I have not found a copycat recipe for Kraft's Coleslaw dressing yet though.

I can give you a recipe for Potato salad . Stir fry boiled cubed Potatoes along with cummin seeds , chopped onions and green chillies for a minute and add to whipped curds along with salt, pepper and coriander leaves. You can do the same with spinach leaves. it is very tasty and healthy. It is best served chilled with Vegetable Pulao and Vegetable Biriyani..

Yes, eating one dish of raw food is good for health. The local salad that I usually do is bittergord salad. Slice the bittergord thinly. mix it with some salt to get rid of the bitterness. Wash to remove the salt. Add some slice onion, lime and some anchovies or dried prawns. You can add chilies too to make it taste, sour and hot. This is a good salad.

Are you familiar with Waldorf Salad?
It's apples and cooked shredded chicken with the cream together.
Salads after food i love it!!
Share your Salad recipe please.
Also try the string beans (boiled) with cream.
