At first I didn't really notice about the stars on mylot. But when I got one as I went on posting I got excited. For the first time I got brown star with number 3 when I have reached the post about 100. Then as I was going on posting I got the star with number 4 the very next day. But then I didn't have much time to be here on mylot...so I posted only after about half month and went of posting then I got the green star with rating 5 and in two days time I got the star with number 6. Now I have the target to get even more...What about you?

How fast? Hmmmm...you really should have asked "How slow", hehe, because the rate at which my star color changed was too slow.
At 600+ posts, I got a ten already. It was very hard-earned, then I don't know, it went back to a nine. Somebody hates me here, I guess. :-D

Yes, that's the purpose for the [+][-][!] symbols to the lower right of our responses. I think I have unnerved someone here by a certain response that I gave. So he/she probably kept rating me negative in the all my other responses.
I know I didn't mean to offend that person. I apologized but he/she didn't accept that. When my reputation starts to increase, the next day it plunges down again.

Oh! does enmity in mylot reduces the reputation level in mylot? I didn't know at all...I thought it only showed how active we are in mylot...

Hi there!
A mylotter will automatically have his/her mylot reputation upon reaching 100 posts. I think I have started having an 8 star. A few days passed it turned to 9, then 10 and went back down to 9. But I am lucky to have a 10 now and proud of it.
Mylot star rating will continue on going up as you go along with your participation here. It's much faster to go up if you continue to receive positive rating from other mylot members. Just keep on making good responses and posts to have a positive rating.
Happy posting!

When i reached 100 posts (just recently might I add) I had star 7 straight away. I was very pleased and it shows that I am writing interesting responses, helps me know that i am on the right track.
I love the star feature at MyLot. I hope to slowly increase my star ranking to an 8 or 9 soon. Time to get posting some quality!

Perhaps the star system started in myLot, when my posting figure was about 1000. At present, my star counting is waving between 9 and 10. I feel very funny to watch the 'Red Star 9' as well as 'Blue Star 10' one after other. Perhaps my posting grade is oscillating between 9 & 10 star counting! I feel this as quite natural to carry some timely variations in output quality of my postings!
Thanks for this nice posting and have a good day!

It is ofcourse good to have good ratings here in mylot and earned the highest star, if it is possible. I have had my 10 star reduced to 8 star and it has been there for ages. You have done well which earned you a good star rating. Do more and am sure you'll reach the highest rating in no time.

I never really focused on my stars to tell you the truth, I just focused on posting worthwhile topics and replies and such, the stars just came along with that. I do try to focus on rating though.

I reach my star rating when I was around 100+ posts. It is good to have a star rating as people would know that you are a serious mylotter who has make valuable posts in the site.I was like you at first when I initially got my first star rating which was a 3.Slowly as I post more quality comments and discussions, my star rating goes up.I believe it is important to write good quality posts and discussions so that people would want to respond as they know you are sincere enough to take your time to write.

I'm not up to 100 posts yet, but found this very interesting about the star and rating. I'll have to watch for my star when it comes. Thanks for telling us about it.

Ohhhh... so that's what the stars are all about. Thanks... very interesting: I am new here and I was wondering and curious about the stars.... and it seems from what you say that ten is better... that's why you get a note saying you have a reputation of so much over ten.... looking forward to my star :)

You will earn these stars with time, thinking, patience, persistence, and willingness to learn and share. The stars counts on discussions you start and respond to. You need to enrich your knowledge and skill of expression to convey and share your ideas. At the post of 261, you get number 6, which is not bad. Keep going, and you are sure to gain more.

What is the value of star ? Is it mean the more payment or just is a honored title ? I also want to get a star ,and will do my best to do

I don't really understand the star rating at all, I have had the clear one with 7 in it since I hit 100 posts. I would love to get some color in mine or a different number but it never seems to change. Anyway, I guess that it all pays the same LOL. I would just like to have some extra reinforcement that I am doing a decent job here.
