IPL itself stands for Indian Premier League, then how can we host it outside India!! It is a big loss to fans of the IPL teams as most us would miss the live stadium atmosphere in cheering for our teams. In addition to this, India would be losing some millions of dollars from the sponsors, match tickets, etc. Also the intensity of matches would be lacking in South Africa ( why a South African would come to cheer for a team they don't know about??). I myself would miss to watch my team playing in India. Also, by not hosting IPL in India for security reasons makes us par with other nations who can't provide protection to sporting events. What do you think about this?

I agree that this league is for India but you guys are having election and the government told the organizers that they cannot guarantee safety. In your region anything is possible and the foreign based players will be concern about their safety. I am sorry that they have to take it from your country but safety should be the concern for everyone whether it be from the spectators point of view or the players. It will be back next year ok

It is not about your country my dear. It is not as if the government is saying that your country is not safe but you should always remember that those terrorist in your neighbouring countries will see this as the perfect time to continue with their mayhem and let it seems as if it is from your country. You need to think like them in order to prevent disaster from happening. This is what your Prime Minister does. He/she will not allow the election to be use as a advantage toy for them.

You are right, this might be the right time for the terrorists to strike. In a way, you have justified your answer well. Thanks for the response.

It is not that unsafe how it looks from the outside. Our country is safe and very well protected to provide enough peace of mind from security point of view. By not conducting this event the government has proved that India is insecure. The government is sending out the wrong message to the whole world. Thank you for your response.

IPL looses its charm if it is being played outside India. What is the meaning of Home and away matches if it is being held outside India. It is not at al justified to Hold IPL outside India. How come we expect a fan in Durban to cheer for Manpreet Gony of Chennai Super kings? Quite funny and silly.

That's really said nicely. How can one find a fan to cheer for local players who are on the team whom people there don't recognize!! There are lot many political tussles going on in the inside of it, the ultimate sufferers are the fans. You can't complain about it, for the purpose of conducting the elections that such a popular event has to be organized outside the country. Well we can't do anything about it other than watching our teams on the television.

It is really sad to hear about your canceled plan. I also like the Delhi Daredevils team as there are many of my friends supporting the team. Also, they did perform well last season, and having such a balanced team really helps. Best of luck for your team.
