I have been known to read the telephione directory if there was nothing else to read in the house. I have loved reading all of my life and yes, of course it keeps the brain cells from shrivelling up! I read anything except space fiction. Apart from non fiction I like to read murder my steries and also religious books that may help me along the path. I read newspapers online as they are so expensive to buy now. The exception is a sunday newspaper which OI like to read after lunch on Sundays - in bes - so I usually have a little nap too! Blessings

I love to read as well especially when i was younger and I was on holiday ,I would read as many as four books per week .Lately I have been unable to keep up with that pace of reading ,atleast when it comes to novels.I do try to read the papers every sunday and it does keep my brain working and helps me with my writing both at my work and here on mylot

Hi anniefannie.
Just like you, I also love to read books..same goes for my husband and daughter. We would spend one hour every night just reading books. It has somehow become a part of our bonding time as my daughter would put it. Thanks. Have a great day!

Hi anniefannie! I love to read too. I do think it keepes the brain working and it also strengthen the vocabulary. I think that readers are often times more well spoken. I usually am always reading a book before bedtime and during the day I read the newspaper or a magazine while on my breaks at work. Take care!
