America started the Internet Revolution, but it is my belief that it cannot finish it. It is a very old country, over 200 years old, and so it has many prejudices and habits that defy logic. For example, America is the only country that stil does not use the metric system. Because of such prejudices and habits, America cannot finish the Internet Revolution. Instead, China will finish it.
Do you believe that China will rule the internet?

Maybe it can rule the internet when it comes to the language use by the users. And that is because the chinese language has the most speaker in the world and for that we may also apply it to the internet.

Am sure that more people speak English around the world than Mandarin or other Chinese dialects

I have to admit that English is the most widely used language in the world, but Chinese is the language that enjoys the largest number of speakers. And I'm sure of it.

Not going about China becoming the dominant internet force, but seems a weird argument to say that the US cannot do it because it is an old country, surely China is an older one?

Of course, China is much longer and older than America in history. But China is the world's youngest economic power, filled with great hope about the future. China's youthfullness means that it lacks prejudices and is able to adapt to new technology quickly. A Chinese company can install the latest computer technology much more cheaply than an American company, because the Chinese company has nothing to start with whereas the American company must somehow coordinate its already existing and very expensive technology with the new.
