Anyone else have a boring, uneventful Easter?
Since we're no longer speaking to our in laws, we had no one to invite over for Easter, so it was just us. We wanted to go out for a walk, but it was too cold. So we had nothing to do. We ended up renting movies and watched 4 movies yesterday with the kids. I cooked and made a big dinner, and we did end up going to the playground for a little while in the afternoon which was fun. But otherwise it was a totally uneventful holiday.
What did you do for Easter?

My oldest daughter was the shoulder for Grandma to cry on!!

I think I would probably stop trying to get everyone all together. It got to a point for us a few years ago we had to stop going to my sister in laws because things would never go right.

We are sorta like you, my husband's family is not very nice to us. They don't really like me and we don't get together unless we have too (my husband makes me go for Christmas). We had a morning egg hunt and ate some candy. We really didn't do much for the rest of the day. We ended up ordering pizza for dinner because I didn't plan anything since it would have encouraged my family to come over LOL We like them but keep them at bay for the holidays since my husband doesn't see his family.

When my mom was alive she always had dinner at her place, and I was welcome to go if I wanted, but we usually had other plans. My brother would go, usually just by himself though, so mom would plan her dinner around him. Unfortunatly mom isn't with us anymore, my brother has his own family, and so far as I know he has holidays with his wife's family. Everyone assumes I'm busy with my husband's family because that's how it was until this year. But I sort of enjoy having the holiday to ourselves. Allows us to be free to set our own schedule and do what we please instead of having to start dinner at a certain time or be dressed and out the door at a certain time.

My Easter was rather uneventful as well. I went to church for sunrise service at 6:30 AM, then we had breakfast at church. Sunday School started at 9:00, then we had our regular church service. It was a long day at church. There was an Easter Parade for the children, and afterwards the children had a bake sale.
Later on in the evening my husband and I watched a movie.

HI there!
I can sit around the whole day watching movies or television series until my eyes would pop out. I do that when I'd get a day off.
My sister lent me before the 24 TV series and I was able to finish it in 24 hours
LOL. Seriously, I got sick the following morning....

Our Easter was fun too. We celebrated my niece's birthday which fell on Good Friday. We have moved the celebration in time for the Easter and it was fun.

My Easter Sunday was really boring, well, its not during easter sunday but the whole holy week.. I just stayed at home alone and I just watched movie for the entire day. I also don't want to go out since I don't have a companion and I don't know where to go so I just stayed at home for the entire week and just watched movies. It was really boring..

Well you did do something for Easter though it wasn't like you expected it. You spent quality time with your kids and I'm sure they are having just as much fun. I have a whole week off and I am complaining now. There is no point to in this week. It's meaningless because I have nothing to do. It's boring. I'm trying to be productive by least trying to find something to do, harder than I expected. I finished all my projects within 2 days of my vacation. I wish they pushed our vacation to the end of may instead of having it during the mid April. Easter for me is boring. ^_^

I have visited my grandparents and even weather was great. But how long I can only going to the park. I was there without internet, books and other things that can be interesting. I had only my computer, so I watched many movies (even more than 4 a day). And I agree, this was boring Easter.

well thats basically wot i did, and also i didnt get any easter eggs... the only easter egg i got was from school, from my maths teacher, one of those little tiny ones...and when i went to put it in my mouth... i dropped it and it fell on the ground :( but yesterday my mum felt sorry for me and bought me a ferrero rocher easter egg :) and i was very content with it. but usually i get more easter eggs from my relatives and we have a roast or something at one of our houses, but no contact from any of them, this easter was so strange :/ and very boring -.-

I had a very busy Easter. We had a total of 6 kids all weekend long (our four, and our niece and nephew). We had Easter baskets to make, eggs to color, eggs to hide, food to cook, and messes to clean up. It was pretty fun though. I stayed in the house with the baby while my husband took the other 5 outside to hunt for eggs and take pictures for me. It was chilly and a bit wet, I didn't want to take the baby out in it to take the pictures myself. I made a ham for all of us and those that showed up to eat. I took everyone home after we were all done, and then, my husband and I sat down to watch a movie with our kids and relax.
