Does an unanswered prayer bring down your faith?

If I need something, the first person to whom I ask is God.
I have received many instantly and many with little delays. There were few things that I had never received at all.
Such things I thing that it is not His will and me not receiving it is for good.
But I see many people disowning God when they don't receive what they had asked through prayers. I feel sorry for them.
How would you feel or react if your prayers are not answered?

Not all of our prayers are going to be answered. Presently, I am in a situation where I have become a caretaker for my elderly mother who has a terminal illness. I am praying everyday that a miracle will occur and keep her around longer than the doctor has told me she has. Her life is in God's hands and no matter which way it goes, my mother will be in a better place.
God does hear our prayers. What people have to understand is that we may be praying for the wrong things. If you ask God for the winning lottery ticket, it is most likely you will not receive it. If you ask God for a new home, you will probably not get it. We have to ask for the right things and God will deliver.
Prayer is the most powerful event that us humans have in relationship to God. We have to let Him know that He is loved as He loves us. We have to thank Him for what it is that we have presently and then what we want will be delivered.
Great question, great discussion.

I do believe that god answer all our prayers. In all our prayers, His answers may be yes, no, and wait.Whenever my prayer is not granted, it means that the Lord knows the best for me and He will grant my prayer in due time or appropriate time.If there are unanswered prayer(prayer that I need to wait), I never cease to pray and continue to have faith in HIm.

When my prayers are not answered I try to just stop, think and do something to change myself, because I'm sure that God can hear all human's prayers and he never leaves us alone. never, ever.. I truly believe that when it's not answered He wants me to change myself..
