Australia found themselves in a similar position as in the 3rd odi in spite of getting the perfect start. The middle order failed once again and australians folded up easily in the end with only ponting providing some resistance and managing to get a half century. What did you think of south africa's emphatic over australia powered by hershelle gibbs?

I had said in my earlier discussion that South Africa is the team which is going to win the series.Australians dont have the right balance as of now with some of the seniors out of the side.Ponting also doesn't find a favour with other MYLOTTERS.I ahd even hinted that Ponting would come back to form or rather he cant be taken out of the team as of now.He proved my point. Thanks Ponting.

One good knock can bring back a player to a good form.As the saying is form is temporary but the class permanent. Just for the sake of lengthy discussions dont put questions.Thanks.

Aussies have lost their form and their confidence while playing against top o.d.i. teams. Now i think that they might be having to tour teams like zimbabwe or kenya , bangladesh again to win and try to regain their form again.

Yes and it would be a good oppurtunity for them to win against some weaker opposition. But their next opponent is pakistan who have not played international cricket for sometime now and will be very fresh and raring to go.

Hello Pratik, Your question is misleading...but worth attracting attention. Whether it is Gibbs or some one else, the fact is that they have again defeated Australia and now there is no doubt that the dominance of Australia is over. The captaincy of Ricky Ponting is in danger. Last two captain Taylor and Waugh were removed when team was dominating the cricket, but he may have to go in peril.

Sorry everyone for the apparent mistake in my question. I knew you would point out that mistake when i saw that you are active today. Thanks for doing that. I was very happy that australia lost again and i made a mistake while writing as i was thinking it is a good chance for india to move up the order. Ponting should have been in danger a long time ago but i dont see him getting removed from the post of captain.

yea they are down and out now amazing how they fell 317 was never gonna be easy , middle order just gave it away.one bad thing ponting made a half century, someone hit him with a bat or something , he must be the most annoying creature to ever live on the planet .

I am just happy he did not go on to hit a century. He had to something to justify his place in the team. He got out in the powerplay which shows why he has been struggling in t20 cricket. Thanks for your response. Happy mylotting.

Well the era of aussies have gone. its for someone else to take the mantle. I have always maintained that Ponting is not a great captain as many think. He was lucky to have a very good team, which performed wondefully. Now that most of the expereinced players have gone, we see the real struggl.e It will take some time for the aussies to start winning again on a consistent basis.

Ya. This victory has once again proved that south africans are better than aussies. Australia's recession will continue severely from here onwards. A good captain and genuine team selection is needed to avoid australia's recession. The times where we heard" AUSTRALIANS ARE CHAMPIONS IN CRICKET ", is over.
