How does it feel when you find that your responses/discussions have been deleted

Hello friend,
It has happened to me a couple of times over the last 24 hours. Both the times when I logged in, I found my responses count had gone down by 1 or 2. I do take utmost care in not offending the guidelines that have been issued for the members here but still it happened. Today I was happy when I got a mail saying that I had earned a best mylot response. When I checked in to see what the response was, I was surprised to see that the discussion had been deleted.
Has it happened to you ever? How do you feel after that?

Hi jshekhar.
The first few times my number of posts decreased, I was a bit surprised and sad...but now, it doesn't bother me much, I guess I've gotten used to it already. Besides, I know that I got to reply to some discussions that are bound to be deleted...I still get to respond to those discussions just the same because it's my nature to extend my greetings to friends who are celebrating special events or happy moments in their lives.
Thanks. Have a great day.

Hi Jshekhar, it happened quite a number of times, that is, the responses count has decreased. I'm sometimes not sure which response has been deleted; and used to search through my 'responded' comments to look for the missing responses. Anyway, I've gotten used to it, and just let it be.

Happy mylotting

It is not your fault.
If the person starting the discussion thread violate the policy, the whole discussion thread will be gone.
If you do not want to see your posts go down, then be careful what kind of discussion you are commenting on. Those that include a link for referrals will definitely be deleted.

It can be really frustrating but it does not mean you are doing anything wrong. One night there was three newbies I was responding to all of their discussions as I used to go through one by one and respond to everything my friends posted.. and that newbies did as well to help them get started... Well, that was until the night I responded to over 500 discussions, and that newbie the next day was being rude and violating TOS, and harassing people.. And got deleted.. And there went my entire nights work in replies and posts with it.. I was very upset, and frustrated... But, I understand why mylot did it after I seen some of his reply the person was very rude and definately breaking TOS.. So its gonna happen every so often, or if a person decides to delete their own mylot profile, it will happen...
Don't let it bother you to much and just keep posting, and replying. :) - DNatureofDTrain

I have not kept a tab over this JShekhar. I just keep writing out responses and do not flick too many pages.I participate infrequently too though this changes over a period of time. It is all seasonal; but if I were in your shoes I would be disppointed to see one best response disappearing.

I never had any of my responses deleted but my discussions are not so lucky. I feel sad that my responders are affected when my discussions are deleted. I do not understand why my discussions are deleted for no good reasons as they are calm topics and does not go against mylot guidelines.

Well I know that discussions get deleted all of the time if they are against guidelines so if I am to respond I like to be aware of what the discussion is about so if it does get deleted I will know why. Reading the guidelines can help everyone newer member or older member alike. I've actually made a discussion about the guidelines.
