Now the summer months are here in India and the mercury is soaring high. The temperature has crossed 40 degrees Celsius at my place and is expected to rise further as the summer months have just started. Now I am taking bath twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, as it is very hot out here. What about you my friends, how many times you bathe in a day...

for me its the sweating and humidity that decides the number of baths per day and not the temperature. i play a lot of outdoor games, and i sweat easily. so every time i play i take a shower. otherwise if its too humid, i may take a bath or may be more in a day.

Humidity is a big problem here at our place. It is close to a river and also the sea. naturally humidity levels remain high, and it leads to so much perspiration and sweating. You feel sticky and it is a horrible experience. bathing does relieve some discomfort but unless you bath frequently it is of no use.

summers r too hot and i agree with u about bathing in morning and evening , actually sometimes i also take bath at night if i sweat too much , its good to take as much bath as one can take in summers because this keeps the body cool , also we should drink a lot of water.

At times I also bath at night especially after playing volleyball(we use to play volleyball at night as I stay in a hostel). Also, I agree to drink fluids like water, ORS or coconut water to keep up the hydration level of our body, as heat draws up so much water from our body through sweating. Thanks for your response Kapil.

My country Indonesia is in a tropical climate and it's a very hot these days. At our country people normally bath 2 times a day, the first is in the morning after we get up. The second, is in the afternoon. We accustomed to do this way, since it's very easy to get sweated here.
For me, I feel comfortable for that custom. It keep my skin clean and fresh. Sometimes when it's so unbearable hot outside, I'm enjoying my time at home with a turn on air conditioner or find an indoor swimming pool.

As far as I know, Indonesia is very close to the tropics, so it is quite obvious that you will get so much heat all the times of a year. It is very nice to have a habit of bathing twice.. AC would be a must to have a good time at home. I wish your climate becomes a little cooler. Thanks for your response.

hello dev21lucky
I am from india & now feeling the heat of the summer. I sweat heavily so now need at least two sessions a day to keep me fresh & going. But my bathing habit is seasonal as I am not regular with this twice a day schedule in winter. It all depends on how I feel physically.
You have a nice time at mylot.

It also depends where you stay and how much you can sustain the heat of summer. I know many people who bath only once during these hot months. Also, if you take up some physical activities like playing, sports etc., you easily get drenched in sweat, and you have to take a bath to cool off. During winter, I also don't bath regularly, but never for two days at a stretch, because if I don't bath I would stink like a wet dog!! What do you plan to cool off during these summer months other than bathing?? May I know your plans?? Thanks for your response, friend.

Here in my country, everyday is summer. The temperature is always around 30 degrees Celsius.
The worst is not the high temperature, it's the humidity, always around 90% humidity.
Once you sweat, the sweat never dries and always make your clothes stick to your body.
I shower at least 2 times. Once in the morning before breakfast and once in the evening before dinner. Sometimes it is so hot and humid that I shower four times. No choice, got to keep clean and fresh.

You are right, humidity plays a major role in making our hot summer days more miserable. So much perspiration and the sweat does not dry up..hell of a time. Thanks for your response..

It is really strange for me to take bath 3 times in winter and once in summer. How you manage to bath thrice in such a cold weather!! I am surprised...Thanks for your response.

Hi there!
I hate summer actually except for the out of town trips and the beach but apart from that I hate the heat and the sweat.
So to answer your question, when I am here bumming in my house... I'd get to shower at least 4 times a day, and that is on a normal basis. Sometimes more when the heat becomes unbearable.

Is that so hot out there at your place, I can see it from your answer. I surely would not be able to sustain so much heat...hats off to your "heat-resisting" property...lol

I'm in Mexico and it is very hot here too! I usually shower a couple of times a day, if I don't then I jump in my small pool or in the ocean to cool off. I also drink a lot more water as I am always hot. Last nite I had two fans blowing on me, I jumped in the shower and got back in bed still damp and let the air from the fans keep me cool.

That's really a cool idea to keep yourself cool, nice innovation. I would like to try it out, but I very easily catch cold. Thanks for your response friend.

Its OK if you have only one shower a day. If you can manage with a single bath a day its fine. I also take a single shower during the entire year(except some days in winter I don't bath). Its only in summer that I take multiple showers to keep myself cool. It really feels freshening after evening shower, I would recommend to go for it during summer, you will surely feel the difference. Thanks for your response. Happy my Lotting to you too...

Summer heat surely draws out a lot of fluids from our body, you need to keep replacing those lost water from your body, try some cold drinks... Thanks for the response.

It's our own choice how many times a day we should bathe. Noon would be a better option though. I would try include this noon-time bath in my routine...may be it can add some more freshness in these hot days... What do you think??

You are right. So much water gets wasted, but if you come over to my place, you will surely think twice for not taking a bath. It is really very hot out here, the temperature reaches around 45-50 degree Celsius. I am sure you will agree with me now. Thanks for your response.

Once is enough! Unless you did something really 'dirty', ahahahah, then you'll need to take another bath xD Or if its really hot. Most I did was 3 times, which was a very hot summer day and I got really sweaty playing outside. :P hahah, it really depends on the weather, and if you really need it or not. Sometimes I don't take a bath when I know I don't need it (often on cold days and when I don't go outside).

You are right, it depends on the weather. During the winter months some days I also don't bathe(less out of cold, more out of laziness). But, in summer, I can't tolerate so much heat and not taking a bath is very disturbing. Thanks for your response.

I bath 2 times every day. One in the morning before going to college. The second time after i com from gym at night. The bath at night cools me down and i have a good sleep. The morning bath keeps me fresh and i feel fresh so every thing goes right for the day.

Can't you just go swimming at a beach or something?
In the summer, I usually just take one shower or bath per day - sometimes less. (). It just depends. I DO love swimming, though, and so I'll most likely do that 3-4 times a week when summer rolls around.

My place is far away from beach and also we don't have the facility for a swimming pool in our college. So, we have no other choice. Also, it is not that laborious to take bath twice a day. I like it very much. Thanks for the response.

Its ok dude, I understand your problem. We also at times face similar problems during summer here as taps go dry as the rivers go dry here in summer. During such circumstances, we might not get to receive water for the whole long hot day. Anyways, usually such a situation never lasts beyond 12 hours.
Thanks for the response. Have a nice time.
