It's finally here, springtime! The trees are blooming, the flowers are growing, the sun is shining, and spring rainstorms and gracing us with their presence! I love how spring makes me feel. For some reason during this time of year I always feel my best. I finally get the motivation to clean my house, and open the windows just to breathe the fresh wonderful air. This is actually one of the first years that I've felt so bright and happy inside. I've been getting so many houseplants, opening the shades every day, and going outside all the time just to enjoy the warm crisp air. Tell me what kind of things you like to do when spring arrives =)

Spring for a Beekeeper is a time of Hope and Gratitude. Hope that the honeybees survived the long cold winter, and Gratitude if they did. Its beginning to look like they did, as we were out to the bee-yards today, unwrapping the black protective Plastic that kept the colonies warm against the cold wind and winter snow. The bees were happy to be free, to fly unhampered in and out. A young worker bee takes two or three circles around the hive, on her maiden flight, and the location of her colony is written forever in her brain. Bees are such intelligent Creatures! Nothing can frighten a bee, because Honeybees have no personal feelings of self. Their whole life is for their colony, and they will happily die for good of their contemporaries.
