How to make your friends happy?

Sometime will feel sad to heard that friends' parent died, lost job oppotunity, wrong investment, break relationship.....etc. On that moment, what should I say to them? Most of the time will just sit beside them but say nothing. I just can hug them and pray with them but don't know what to say...

It's better to comfort them and help them to get over their problem..... help them find solutions to their problems

You are right, but at that moment.. wordless, I dont' know how to say something or which sentance is right one to comfort them. I wish to find some.. but suddently like any of the sentance also cannot comfort my friend which a pain in their heart.

i will make my friends happy if they are sad sometimes .
i will help him out of trouble if he is in trouble.
i wont hurt my friends in any way .
friendship is the most wonderful thing to me on earth :)

I think one of the best thing you can do is hug your friends. I think you should take your friend to some place for vacation and try to distract him or her from the things they are concentrating. I think you should tell your friend that you will be there for them and care for them.
