I think this is more along the lines of Judaism to a small degree. I say this because there are Jews who believe in Jesus Christ, but have not been baptized in Him. I am different though. I was born and raised in a Conservative Jewish Family and converted to Christianity in March 2003. I truly believe that the Messiah is Jesus Christ as well as my personal Lord and Savior.
Those who call themselves Christian, yet only refer to Jesus as the greatest master of all times, yet, have a hard time accepting Him as the only Son of God, possibly have a problem in believing what is said in the Holy Bible and do not take what they read literally.
Great discussion.

Hi marguicha!
You know what is good about Christianity, it is God given and freewill. We have our own belief and concept regarding Jesus Christ. Just like this someone that you have mentioned, he acknowledged Him only as a great master. But if you really know Jesus through His teachings and words, you would believe that He is the Son of God just as He always mention in His teachings.
I would think that this someone doesn't really know Jesus Christ or even have a full knowledge of His teachings. He have only a portion of who really is Jesus Christ (a good master). If he could only knew the rest about Jesus, he could possibly accept the doctrine that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
By the way, this is my belief and own opinion.

Spiritually speaking Jesus Christ is the only son of God.
But then Jesus Christ said "Whoever follow the command of my Father is my mother, sister and brother(can't remember if that's the exact word)."
Therefore if you follow the words of God...you can call yourself as the son of God.
Then...I'm also included in that We're the child of God
Lalala...
Hehehe ^_^

I wouldn't argue with a friend like this, instead I pray for the unbeliever. Maybe you can respect each others beliefs, I know that Christ sent us to go and share His word, but God also chooses those who deserve to hear it. If you've done your part let go and let God! God will move his or her heart one day for sure, just continue to be a witness and a reflection of God's glory in you life, that friend will certainly see it in time and if they ask we'll you know what to answer.

Thanks for sharing! It was not an argument but rather a way of looking at it from various angles
