Do you use the Internet to watch TV Shows?

It seems like almost every TV show is now available online and I was wondering on average how many shows do you watch online compared to watching them on the television during their normal broadcast time? These are shows that you watch consistently - not something that just happened to be on while flipping through the channels.
For me the only show I watch not online is Celebrity Apprentice because its a big thing that the boyfriend gets involved in and its our Sunday night time together. Otherwise I have found Hulu and am amazed with the site. Especially since it contacts me when the videos are ready to be viewed instead of me constantly checking back with fingers crossed.
So how about the rest of your mylotters... has the Internet taken over your television sets as well?

Sure, I don't watch a ton of tv anyway so what I do watch I tend to catch online alot more than I can on the actual tv. It's part of how I'd be happy to give up what my Mom affectionately terms "the boob tube".

What an interesting name. I've never heard it used beforehand whatsoever. I get the tube part but why has she thrown in the word boob?

No, I really haven't taken to this. I use my DVR to keep up with shows that I can't catch at their regular time. I usually watch tv while i am relaxing in bed before I go to sleep. Since I have a desktop pc this wouldn't really work for me using the internet.
Just out of curiosity, are there cable shows on Hulu? We got rid of our movie channels and I am missing my Tudors.

I know there are some shows that are on the basic channels like stuff from Bravo and what not but I did check to see if Tudors was on there and its not. The thing with Hulu is they have to get permission from other sites and there are many channels that probably don't want their viewers watching online.

I never watched TV again eversince I discovered Youtube and all those TV Show sites. XD It's great than television, you can watch anything you want and at your own schedule! Thanks to a bunch of sites, I've gotten hold of the whole F.R.I.E.N.D.S and How I Met Your Mother series! (season 4's still not finish though) :P Too bad I can't try Hulu as it's only for the US. I've heard so much good things about that site.

Mind sharing the site for How I Meet Your Mother?
My roommate freshman year started to get my addicted by watching most of the 1st season but I haven't seen any sense since I like being able to see it beginning to end. The show was so hilarious and I'm so surprised at how many times you think thats their mother but its not!

I better watch real television cause I can watch TV and play internet in the same time :)
If watch in computer, it's maybe user smaller window to view and do other things so I didn't like that much.
But I used to watch on internet too but for some program that didn't broadcast on my TV (eg. cable TV)

Most of the TV I watch is viewed online. I hardly ever watch TV on the real television anymore. I'm not a huge TV watcher in general, but there are 2 or 3 shows that I enjoy, and I like to watch them at my convenience on my computer. Usually I'll do this right before going to bed, or on a lazy afternoon when I am not working. I very much prefer it to having to schedule my time around a show I want to watch, and to have to sit through the long, loud commercials that come on when you watch something on TV!

Yes!
Commercials are probably the worse part of watching the television. I am so use to only having to watch 4-5 30 second commercials now and even though its the same thing over and over again I'm fine with it.

Hahaha, that is a definite YES for me ... hehe, it's cz i actually prefer watching tv shows from the comfort of my own lappy and i've gotten tired for them to actually be broadcasted on tv so usually i go on the internet and search for the show that i wanted to watch...Most of the tv shows i watch online are Grey's anatomy, Chuck and Heroes...

I am addicted to Grey's!
I've missed the past couple of episodes though because of so much going on with school. I've actually been gone the past 2 weeks (camping and a concert) so when I leave on Thursdays and don't get back till Sunday I've missed the days I'm normally watching it. I actually got the boyfriend to be addicted to the show as well... its great!

I would hate to be the individuals that use Tivo when they miss American Idol because there have been SO MANY times now that the show has run over. The only bad part about American Idol is I haven't found a decent site to watch it online with so that is one of the ones I'm actually sitting down in front of the TV but results night... I tune in only for the last 15 minutes

No, I used it in doing some jobs online. I used to surf every time I'm online. I find it fun on surfing the internet, especially in finding jobs like, home based jobs. I am also enjoying checking my mylot account. It gives the courage to ear from this site.

I just recently got into sites like myLot and I'm fully enjoying it just like yourself. For me I'm viewing this all just as a hobby instead of actually thinking of it as a job. I feel as long as I keep my mindset something like that then I'm not going to worry so much if there are days I'm only making a few cents.

That has to be rough!
I know for me my freshman year in college the cable network that we were provided only had a handful of channels so there were so many shows that I missed because we just didn't have the channel available to us. And I'm talking about sites like Disney - bigger ones that normally you automatically get.

I watch all three CSI's, Bones and the How Clean Is your House episodes. I'd love to find Golden Girls, Roseanne and Designing Women online as well but haven't yet. I did just find the Twilight Zone series and I love those.

I don't like watching TV shows via the net because sometimes it will have a delay. And I found I will waste the time to watch it online. I prefer to watch it from my cellphone when I am waiting for somebody or something like that. So I don't have to spend all my time to just watch it in front of the computer. When I am online, usually I will do many things.
I love China

i have in the past cause sometimes you have a show you like to watch but you get busy and forget about the time and you miss it. so i don't worry about if i miss a show that i wanted to see since i know i can watch it online if i miss one of them. seems to be many different options to go watch online i would usually go to veoh.com or hulu.com to check if i missed one of my shows they seem to keep them decently up to date with the regular show schedules even have seasons of old shows that i like on there too.
