Do you or did you enjoy studying? Or are you just dying to complete studying

I love to study and advance myself but I hate when it takes forever to get done. I really do not like school much and I am not a fan of having my nose buried in the book for too long. I guess its because of this plus the desire to do well why I hate failing courses. Thankfully I have never flunked a course in college because there is just no way I am going to do a resit. Do you or did love school and studying? or Are you or were you dying to complete your studies? What is it like for you? I have hated it since I was a child but knew it was necessary to study so I did and still continue to do so.

I can't say I love studying all the time. There're days that I like it, and there are days that are otherwise. At day's end, when I think to myself how much learning I had, I realize that all the difficulties are worth it. Maybe you can have the same mindset as me.:)

I love to learn. I never had much use for studying, or, technically, school...but I love learning and intend to do alot of it for the rest of my life. Official paperwork to go along with it or not.

The love of learning is a gem worth having Paranoia. I wonder why you did not have much use for studying or, technically, school... I am curious as to what you meant by that statement. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I didn't mind studying really for the most part, I just minded studying anything math or algebra related because I hated and still hate math. Don't worry though because I love money and can balance a check book higher than an A+ score.

Now I am convinced that is the sole reason many of us even bother with math and algebra at all. Like you most of us love money and want to do our best at handling our own.

I think for me it was a case of learning to love what you do. As you've said, as a child it was required of us so I learned to like studying. Besides, I always want to be on the winning side so while I was studying I put my effort on it. Thinking back, I think I do like studying because it gave a purpose then. Now that I'm working, I try every now and then to update my self through reading some materials that are related to my profession. It makes me think and I like the exercise and the self fulfillment that it brings.

It is certainly a good feeling when the grades are good after all that studying. I hate to study too much but I also hate to fail. That has kept me in line so far so that I do not allow lack of studying to make me fail. It is good to keep updating ourselves and remain current.

I LOVE studying! Most of the time I read non fiction books for fun anyway so I spend most of my time learning! I took an extra year at college just so I could study English and I am off to university next year. I don't ever want to stop learning, it's like a hobby of mine really. I never used to enjoy studying when I was much younger, like 12/13 as I basically just wanted to rebel for the hell of it, teenage angst haha! But I soon bucked up my ideas and realised learning is actually so fun!

I was a bookworm. I spend lots of time reading books than sleeping. I love to read all types of books. Some days I used to read the lessons in advance before going to college or school. I love reading and studying though I never was a brilliant student. I was an average student and I used to work hard. I was not good at maths and most times doesn't remember the formulas, but I used to repeat writing in papers the solutions again and again sometimes 10 to 15 times and used to spend lots of time at night writing in the papers different portion of the books I have to study. I missed all that. I think it is always great to study when a person can.

I don't mind studying. My issue is studying things or completing things that I do not see any relevance in. With my major, I have to take a lot of classes that, well, don't really make any sense, or really do not correlate much with what I'm taking. I'm sure that a lot of other people have to take certain classes too, especially ones they don't see any use for either, but it is annoying.

That seems to be a college feature everywhere. The administrators seem to use many irrelevant courses to build the programs they offer. I still find many of the ones I did to be very irrelevant.

I remember those days in college fresh out of high school when I thought college just could not finish fast enough for me to go and earn some cash. I have now learnt that in order to earn some god money I have to keep studying and improve my qualifications to obtain bigger better positions. Sill do not like studying very much though. Thanks for sharing Yunlong.

Maybe you just need some motivation for yourself, you could try rewarding yourself each time you get some studying done. Or do little bits of studying a day rather than a lot of studying all at once. Try writing down notes rather than reading from a book and every so often look through those notes to get them in your head. Also give yourself a little break from studying. Always do your home works, in this way you can remember the things for your exam or tests, it minimizes cramming, and always review your notes everyday.

Thanks for those tips mhil. I certainly need to employ some of those techniques. Cramming is an assault on my brain and I learned that early as I do not swat very well. I have to read, understand and put back in my own words if I am going to do well. Thanks again .

Well I goes with ups and downs. When I was student I was dying to complete my studies and work somewhere. When I completed my graduations I worked with an organization for five months. When I was working I was missing my friends and all the entertainment I used to do in the college. Now I have left my job and looking for other job. But while sitting at home I am always watching some of the memorable moments that I have captured during my college life.

Hi tjades I always enjoyed studying because the course that I selected was of my interest. I agree I did not like it when the duration was long and further more the frequent examination that makes me panic and stressful. At those time I used to just think of completing it for the sake of holding a degree but most of the time I enjoyed studying. Regards Thanusha

belonging to me EDUCATION is one part of life,if we complete studies that takes us to great values in life and i am not saying that "if we didnt study we doesnt echive anything" everybody has they own talent, just try to expose that, and use it for path to good society if we completed education just we could gain knowledge in the particular area what we did,but if we go through the each and every moment of life we can study lot of things FAILURES ARE OUR TEACHER:every failure says 'we can get win on next time' i feel enjoying in my student life
