Obsessive Compulsive... This is considered as a mental health problem. This is characterized by obsessive thoughts and compulsive actions such as cleaning, checking, arranging or hoarding. This can be disturbing to the lifestyle of the individual. There are persistent fears that may harm self or loved-one. I was discussing this to one of my friends, although I do not have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) because I am such a clutter... there are some weird things that I do before doing a project (which knock the weirdness out of me) For example: Before I start on project (eg. writing stuff, evaluation--something tedious and long). I would to clean the house or office (which I don't regualarly do on a normal circumstances) Next I'd get a pedicure and manicure and fix my hair in a tight pony... See?? Sometimes I would like to beleive that I am OC.. ARE YOU? DO YOU ALSO HAVE WEIRD RITUALS LIKE THIS? ARE YOU AN OC?

Well, i do think i'm obsessive compulsive but not enough in a sense that i would harm anybody. When i go to sleep, when i'm in bed, i would get up just to check the lock eventhough i'm sure that i did check it. I always see to it that my phone is on my right pocket and my purse on my left. When i download a music album and saw 1 track missing, i would delete the entire album then download again from another source. The soap's label must always be faced up on the soapbox. I definitely consider you too as an OC, lol! It takes a lot of effort to manicure-pedicure just to ponytail your hair. Hehe.. Maybe i should do the same when i scratch an itch.

Hi there! I just want to prove a point that even though we are not diagnosed with the disease there is a chance that we are OC at one point or another. I also do that door thing that you do too LOL

Being OC doesn't always necessarily mean a mental health problem. It's just some OC could be one of the many manifestations of someone who has mental problem. But for normal people, OC tendency or personality is possible without it being a symptom of something else. As for me, I do have actions that tend to deviate from what seems normal for me. Sometimes, I clean up like crazy, or arrange things, or clean myself up just like an OC but I am not consistent with them. I think I am more obsessive than compulsive. Repetitive thoughts. Especially when I am anxious abut something, I tend to think about it over and over to the point of going into a semi-trance state. LOL

Yes, I am.. I'm an OC (obsessive compulsive) but not to the extent of hurting other people.. maybe, i've inherited this kind of disorder from my mom.. she's an OC too. She likes checking things every now and then most especially locks and appliances.. though she knew that she already unplug the appliances and locked the doors, she will re-check it again.. in my case, i have this habit of checking my bag every so often.. i'd like to see if my wallet is there, mobile phone, keys, digital camera, money, nintendo ds lite, etc.. yay!
