do you think internet is abit difficult for those who are not good in english?

I think English is not a barrier on how you use the Internet. As long as you know how to read and understand what it means then you are actually in.

Well, English is the most common language in the world, so officially or unofficially this has become the international tongue. If you do not know english, that doesnt mean that you cant use the internet, but definitely it narrows down your scope of surfing and online activities to your regional language and its sphere. However, it's not necessary to be good at English for surfing net. Knowing English, reading and understanding it is enough if your requirements do not need mastery over language. Specially when you opt for some online research work, literary activities and poetry, its an advantage if you have a grip over english, or any language you are using as a media.

well, most of the pages on the web are in english..so for some people it's a little difficult without a minimum knowledge of english. although there are pages in maybe every language of the world witch has internet access. but overall it helps to know some english while surfing the web!

yes surely it is difficult for those who r not good in English.my mom is not good in English and she finds it very difficult to learn internet , so she always quite. but i think if u sit on it daily , can easily learn it .happy myloting.

Yes it would defenitely play a key role for all the activities with reference to the internet.If you are just searching something then its OK if you can understand it.But if you have to be a part of some forum such as MYLOT & the like you will have to have a decent knowledge of english.

I don't think so. As different countries will have different languages, they can go online search for the things that they want to know by using their nation languages. Like we use chinese in searching or chatting in internets. But going here in mylot, yes, it's difficult for those who are not good in englisb or can not speak english at all. After all, English is the internation language.

Hi swadesh, it depends on where the difficulty lies. Is it in understanding English? Or in speaking, or writing it? The widely used language in the internet is English so if a person definitely can't understand English , there's hardly any chance for him to succeed in the using the internet. Although some people can hardly use English whether spoken or written, some can actually understand. So the problem is only in the expression of the idea and not in the comprehension.
