my daughter was always saying something and the busier the places the louder she'd say it - shes now 8 and still has her moments. she doesnt realise its embarrassing its just fact to her. as she is a child and an innocent she doesnt seem to know whats wrong woth being 'truthful' as i have always taught her to tell the truth. i just have to remind her that there is a time and a place but i have been very embarrassed an many occassion!!

I think children are very innocent and sometimes they tell without thinking in the public.

The good thing is, if it happens with kids, it's easier to make excuses and hide the embarrassment. My niece did something similar when we were window shopping in a mall. She farted, giggled and immediately transferred to another place. I thought she is just playing games so I did not follow her immediately. I only realized what she just did when some of the shoppers looked at me suspiciously while covering their noses.

I also think that people might think you son might be joking. I think lots of people know that children do tell jokes and make up stories like this in the life.

The only thing we differ is that my kid didn't say it that loud. But she said mommy farted, it smells awful!!! And I said shhhh quiet somebdy might hear us, it's embarrasing. But it's not that embarrasing. People might thought that your son was just joking. Hehehe! Happy my lotting!!!
