what if there was to be like a blast from the past episode like former idols vs new idols right?

I like the idea. Would it be the really good ones that didn't win from the past verse the ones that were really good that almost one in the new one? This is a great idea my husband is always thinking of good story lines but never sends them in to like NBC and Fox and other places I told him he should follow up on these things. But were not actually sure how or who to send them to.

we can include the other contestants who made it to the top 12 i mean archuleta was almost crowned and performed 'imagine' a john lennon classic, wow jason castro has hallelujah and people remember because of shrek david cook, yeah, he has strings of hits during AI blake lewis, on bon jovi night, made a hit with 'you give love a bad name'

I agree the top 12 would be a great idea for the new runners up of American Idol from mast to present.

well that's that i've been thinking ahh let's see here: ahhh what song this season is so stand out that it will be compared to season's 7: david archuleta's imagine jason castro's hallelujah david cook's billie jean, hello and always be my baby i can understand if people are so passionate about adam lambert this year... he's great, just not getting much... the two songs i liked are the songs when he just slows it down...

the 'ring of fire' is definitely a buzz but it did not work for me 'mad world' is a competitor but not matt's 'part time lover', he excelled in that one, though

the ring of fire song by adam was great that johnny cash song was perfect it was reinvented its genious, but watch out for matt he has great vocals and last weeks song that he did he nailed it

Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea. It seems like every year the judges say that the current years talent is better than the last. They could bring back the 2nd and 3rd place people from each season and have them compete. might be interesting to see.

Hmm...it's not survivor...they actually get a career in the end. They could call it something else and not american idol...I see what you're saying...I would say something like all the top 10 maybe in each season compete, that might be something.

Haha! That'd be interesting. I'd personally want to see Blake Lewis and Adam Lambert (or David Cook?) battle it out for ORIGINALITY.I mean these people, I think, are known for giving their best original versions on the songs and really make it their own. It'll be interesting to see each of their own takes on ONE song and see who's rendition is better. Haha :)

That would be very cool! They could even have people vote to see who did better that particular night, just for fun. That would be an extremely interesting show and I would not miss it for the world! I have to be honest, I have missed a couple of seasons but I am so into this one I regret missing the ones I did. Well, American Idol is about to come on so I will have to abandon Mylot for the next hour. Lol!!! Awesome discussion and idea!
