laxatives does help or not....??

ive been using laxatives since i gave birth,it has been very hard for me all the time i get poop,im always contipated and now i can get rid of them because my tummy gets use to it...is there anyone who has same experience as i did..or anyone could advise me what to do.is that ok or should i stop it.anyone???please

You should not become dependant on laxatives! The best thing you can do is take stool softeners every day. They won't mess up your system and ARE safe to take every day. Check with your doctor and he/she will agree with me.
