Are you on Facebook?

I joined Facebook because many of my relatives are on the site. Relatives that I didn't even know existed. Since joining I have also had the pleasure of adding friends from high school and other aspects of my life, including Mylot. Are you on Facebook? If you are, what draws you to it? What do you find is different from other social networking sites?

I am on Facebook honey but I am very remiss and afraid I really don't go on the site very often. I really want to as there are lots of friends and family there - people I really want to keep in touch with but I am afraid I just don't get along with the format too well! xxx

I belong to facebook and I like it, some of the friends I went to school with found me on there. I aminly keep track of my grand dughter and who is messenging her, she has been known to list her phone number and address because someone ask her for it and the phone calls started coming in from the perverts that hang there. I have found family there and just a all round nice place if you watch what you doing, I think it different in you can list things you have for sale or looking for on there. I dont' see that on myspace. But myspace and facebook is all I mess with. Hope to see you there

Yes I see alot of younger people on myspace. I joined because it is a easy way to keep in touch with family members back home you can see the pictures they post and can talk to them instantly when they are on line. I just enjoy seeing th epics they post , like at Christmas and Thanksgiving and birthday parties. We are a 1000 miles from home and it takes a lot out of you to miss all the holidays and parties that is given, so this way you are kinda like there with them. I like where you can change the page and make it what ever you want and add stuff to the page, to make it just your page.

I don't know how accurate my guess is, but I tend to think that Myspace is for a younger crowd. Although, I may be biased because my kids are on it. And you are right Ebay does interact with Facebook, so when I list things for sale, they also appear on my profile. Not that anyone is paying attention. LOL.

Hi, kbourgerie! Yes, I have an account on facebook. I just don't have a picture of me. I have not been to this account in about 11 months or so. It was such a long time ago, that I can't even remember when.. I am at myLot more than I am at facebook. It seems like I have more time to be here than at facebook. I may visit this site to see what is going on. I have gotten email notifications on facebook that someone wanted to be my friend. I joined it because I have seen some of my classmates from my old high school on it. That is the reason why I joined to get connected to them.

Perhaps you will find more reason to use it in the future, you never know.

I think a lot of the applications are a bit fru fru too, but I find myself sending them back once in awhile.

It is a good way to keep updated on your friends and family, even if you aren't interactive with them.

Yes, I am. I didn't really start using it until recently, even though I signed up about a year ago. I've found old friends, classmates, and family on there. One thing I like about facebook is that there is a chat feature. I don't think myspace has this, at least not that I am aware of.

I don't have internet access of any kind at my job and I can understand why many employers won't allow access.

Have been on facebook quite some time now and it is a good way of making friends and meeting old ones. I met with people I hadnt seen since elementary scholl, so it was nice to catch up a bit!! It's a pity though that Facebook makes a lot of money and has millions of users and doesnt create some money earning programme for it's users or at least for the faithful ones.

I think any money making avenues would severely take away from the purpose of the site. This is the most I have interacted with my family in many years and I wouldn't want to be deterred from that.

I am on Facebook. A lot of my friends from high school are on that social networking site. As well as many members of my family. I have made many friends of that site. I don't get into the applications anymore. I just leave messages for my friends. Several of my MyLot friends are on that site.
To me Facebook is a 'non-decorated' MySpace. It is not as pretty but pretty much the same.

I've never been on Friendster and I'd be afraid to open any other accounts. I have too many as it is.

I am on facebook, but I am by no means a die hard. I have found it interesting and overall a good experience. I joined to try to track down some friends I had lost contact with and it is amazing the people that have come out of the wood work! Old team mates, family, class mates, old co-workers, it's crazy. It kind of makes me feel good when someone I haven't talked to in 10 years requests to be my friend. It kind of lets me know they still think of me from time to time. I find it a little easier to navigate and less mainstream fad than myspace. Happy facebooking!

I don't necessarily communicate any more with my family than I did before just because we are members of the same site, but at least now I have a general idea of what is going on in their lives.

I am a member of facebook for a couple of months now. I find it interesting, it has lots to offer compared to friendster. The good thing here is you have the chance to meet and see your friends way back in grade and high school.
Since we are living in the world with high technology today, most people uses the internet to communicate especially to their loved ones who are miles and miles away.

That is precisely correct, just recently i met my long lost friend on this site. She has 2 twins now and happy with her life. See, facebook helps to keep in touch to others.
