It's time to hit the garage sales!

I love garage sales and wish I could get to them more often. I see nothing wrong with it and there are times when you can find some really great things for cheap. I like going when you can find stuff that isn't around anymore or stuff you had as a child that you don't any longer. A friend of mine calls garage sales "rummaging"..I think that is cool! My neighbor loves yard sales and go to them every day. She has showed us some of the stuff that she has found and even though to another it was useless she was able to find a way to use it, even if she just uses it for her holiday decorations..it still gets used. They always say ones man trash is another mans treasure and it is so true. I also like going and trying to find gently used play clothes for the kids over the summer that way they are not ruining their good clothes for play. Can you imagine how much I would be spending if I went out and spent money for play clothes??More than I would like when I buy someone elses for cheaper!!!

i love garage sales! here where i live, its a little early for them but my mom mentioned that she saw some in the paper! i tend to like church garage sales because sometimes you can get some really neat and great things cheap. we go to a town wide garage sale every may 24 weekend (a holiday here in canada) and i have gotten some cool vintage stuff there. one year i got wood kids blocks that have ridges on the sides - i think i got about 20 for 75 cents. the next day i checked ebay out and there were some on there similar to mine and they wanted $10- for them!!!

I personally feel that going to Yard Sales along with having a Yard Sale is getting rid of, or finding things that other people may be needing. Usually you will find these items for a lot less than New, or even in a Thrift Store and sometimes find items that you may remember from your childhood even that could be of interest to you as well. Personally I have had no problem buying clothes or shoes at Yard Sales. If the item is in great shape and smells and looks clean then it is usually safe to wear again as well, and clothes you can still take home and rewash again as well.

Hi txgrl, I love also to shop at any garage sales, I even love to buy clothes there as long as I am attracted to it. I am looking forward this spring and summer!
