What is your favorite band? Do you have more than one? Well then list them all if you like...lol. Why do you like them?
My favorite band right now is The Dresden Dolls. I love their craziness and extreme bluntness. It is often said that it is a bad idea to date within your own band but these two are fantastic together. Their love makes them better I think.

You think her voice is amazing you should meet her. She is so awesome to talk to. I got to go backstage at one of her concerts and meet her after the show. She is such a passionate person and it was really easy to be myself around her. I will treasure that one forever. Have you heard her new single from the Nightmare Revisited album? Oh my god is it incredible!!!

I'm a huge fan of bands that are I guess a little different. I can't stand the ones that are usually in the Top 40. I guess I don't exactly know why but, I think it may be because I just think it's crap, manufactured music to make a quick buck for those record labels.
Anyways, enough with the rant. My two favorite bands are probably The Raconteurs and the Black Keys. They both have a hint of the blues (Raconteurs) or are essentially blues for the 21st Century (Black Keys). The Raconteurs album from last year, "Consolers Of The Lonely," is in my opinion the record of the year. Every song on there is great. Both bands seem to have excellent writing capabilities with a catchy guitar riff in just about every song.

I marked you as best response because I 100% agree with you. I prefer bands that are different. I am so worn out by the drone music of today...not all of it mind you but a good chunk of it. The thing I like about the Dresden Dolls is their blatent honesty. It's telling you here comes the truth whether you like it or not. LOL. Evanescence just sends shivers down my spine. A lot of the music sounds like it came straight out of my diary. I guess that is why I love them so much because I can relate to it so well...maybe too well.

Yes, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy gropu are my favourite. I like them because I like the music of Rock On. It is my favourite because it is different from traditional.

As you can tell by my username, I am a huge Hanson fan. I have been for...wow, its been 12 years now. I have to say that they were the popular band when I was little but I continue to be a fan because their music has meaning. Even Mmmbop has a meaning - friends will come and go, but family does not. They have focused on the music industry's faults with their album "Underneath" and then they traveled to Africa to help those their suffering from disease and poverty. Their songs from the "Walk" which is so amazing. They also teamed up with TOMS shoes to give shoes to those children in need and have started Takethewalk.net which offers the chance for people to help out by walking a mile barefoot and for every person that walks one of these walks Hanson donates a dollar to a cause, whether it be AIDS help, building a well, building a school, or shoes.
Another favorite band of mine is Lady Antebellum. They too are doing what they can to help others in need. They have recently joined a cause that is to help with landfills by no longer using bottled water but using Brita filters and all of that.
I have noticed that my favorite bands must have a few things: Great voices/harmony, Care for others that are in need of help, Amazing lyrics, and care for their fans. Hanson especially take very good care of their fan members.
