It depends how u r gonna use it .If you are gonna use it for gaming i prefer desktop 'cause finding proper parts for laptop can be very painful. However, it is getting easier and safer to buy parts for laptop. If you want portability and convenience laptop is way better choice than desktop.

This is very true. I have a laptop and I took it with us on vacation. It came in handy, not only allowing me to keep up with email and mylot, but also for checking out last minute sights we wanted to see. My laptop is also easier on my wrist than the desktop's mouse.

Yeah, they are really very convenient. You can switch your positions while using it unlike desktop computers where you have to sit on a chair.

I think laptop computer are best for people who travel a lot. If you really travel a lot and like to use computer while going from one place to another, I think you should go for a laptop. Now a days internet are also available for laptops and a person can use it while traveling. So I also think that world is with you when you take laptop while you go from one place to another.

Hi rocketsky, I like laptop as well. I have been using desktop since the first day I learned to use computer. I have accustomed myself to use the desktop and never think of shifting to any laptop. August of last year, the motherboard of my desktop was damaged by the stroke of lightning during a heavy rain night. Since I didn’t have desktop to surf net I then decided to purchase a brand new laptop. Wow! To compare with the desktop, I find a portable laptop is lighter and more convenient. I even bring it along when going on local occasion. It is really wonderful that I could surf net in outlets with WIFI service in different places with my own laptop. Happy posting.

Yes that is the advantage of using a laptop. It is very portable and handy to use. Not only that, you get to save electricity since it consumer lesser power as compared to desktop. This are the reasons why I also like the laptop as compared to the desktop.

yea i think with most laptos, thier most favoured advantage would be that they are compact and could be brought easily with you anywhere. Like me, i am currently mylotting on my lappy and most of the other times too...lol.. I guess when you own a laptop for yourself, yo'll feel like your laptop is like yor diary, or briefcase where you keep most of your documents...^_^

There are pros and cons of both laptops and desktops Laptops- pros - portable(easy to carry) - best for travelers cons - slow to to processor capabilities - very sensitive to damage I personally dislike laptops because they are not suited to my needs. I need a lot of processing power to perform my daily tasks.

I have used a laptop before. I used my sisters when I had to be over in St. Louis due to my Mom being in the hospital. I didn't like using it. It was hard to get use to and even after using it a couple of times I didn't like it. I will stick with my desktop computer.

Yes you do. I do like laptop but I like more desktop computer. Due to laptop's portability it is really indeed useful whenever you go to travel and you wanna use it whenever you like. But it depends on the user on what purpose the computer is serving and price matters also. If you want a hi-specs hardware configuration of the computer only desktop is much cheaper and easier to upgrades.
