family defacing headstone???

well my son came home and told me his dads & step moms grave stone..his cousin did it painted the names in pink nail polish..i was so pissed..since my sons dad died myself and my hubby take care of that and other family of his dads family making sure the headstones are all covered up..but my son took it very hard..and so did my sons gramma that was her son..well i wanted to have her prosiuted for the damnage..im hoping the cemetary does...its just up setting but on the stupid side she left her picture there..dummy..

I don't understand her reasoning for doing this! It makes no sense. Did she hope to accomplish something other than making everyone angry? This is just horrible and my heart goes out to your son. I know that if someone did that to my dad's gravestone I would be going to the police myself. I wouldn't wait for the cemetary to do it. Did the grandmother not want to prosecute? Was it her grandchild too?
