Has anyone out there every done forx trading? Trading currencies? What you think about it? Is it safer to trade that than on the stock market? Good bad??? My bf is thinking about starting to trade currencies, but I am not so sure about it becuase he just lost 1000 with stock/option trading in the stock market. we don't have even more money we can just throw away.
ANy tips you could give us that would help? I want to encourage him on it but it is hard when I am so worried we will just lose even more money....
Please help!

Because of the global financial crisis that we are experiencing as of the moment, I think its a bad idea to enter to forex trade. Its actually good to buy stocks today because the stock prices are low. Just consult a financial adviser first before you enter in something that your not familiar with, its really risky..

I agree with you. But now I need to try and convince him that before he spends more money on it!!

messageme,
IMO I think you should first get yourself educated with this before embarking on this venture. You should gain knowledge on this field so as to be independent with your understanding and skill. You need to remember that the money that you are going to use in investing is your very own, so all the more you need to be in the driver's seat.
Take care.

messageme,
Did you mention 4 thousand dollars (US)? Well, that is awfully quite a lot of money here.
On the hindsight, things are never what it seems to be sometimes and results are never fast and forthcoming. It will still need a sense of timing and a little bit of lady luck to let the positive and necessary circumstance to fall into place.
I just hope and know that all that investment will not be and go to waste if he will persist and gain the necessary experience.
Cheers.

He has spent 4 thousand dollars on classes to learn how to trade with the stock markets but not forex. I don't think it did much good for him in the stock market *shh* i didn't say that. Thats why I don't know if he should do the forex. He says it seems a lot easier.
