i always have many various, weird, odd, colorful dreams or imagines,no matter reading or waching sth.so i`d love to fantasy many different scenes, that`s very exciting, funny,or joyful things for me. when a novel ,just like TWILIGHT,HARRYPORTER,or others books like that,i would have a lot of visions before the movie release. so anyone like me,have this interesting habits?hhehe,i`m so enjoying the process of the visions even it can`t let me have a good night;)

Not just for fantasy, but I'll imagine the scenes for any books that I read (story books and novels, I can't make scene for business and math book unless it's showing number and such) That's the joy of reading, we can picture it ourselves and be in our own world.

I always imagine things in my head.Whenever I read new books or books I always put myself as the main character.haha, its very funny because I sometimes end up crying because of the sad story.lol:D Ive been stuck in some stories and sometimes I even imagine that it is happening in real life, hahaha,I dont know but I feel like im stupid sometimes because I talk to myslef and then laugh in a moment.Having this kind of imagination is really fun but sometimes Im bothered that people might think Im crazy.lol

i would guess if you are going to really enjoy a novel you have to imagine the scenes that you are reading though some books lose a little when they get made into movies because they dont always stick to the same story as you are reading. editing out some parts you probably enjoyed reading then you don't see it in the movie. if im reading a book i would try to imagine it as if what i was reading i could see too. its always more fun when we use our imagination.

if the movie is good,i don`t care about some parts missing.but contrary to the movie-always only 2 hours or more-i`d prefer books.it`s hard to include the whole thinga of the books.i mean the book can tell us more, perhaps the actors` mental action is hard to feel totally in the movie. and ,imagination, good thing,i love:)

When i read the twilight series i had a complete visual of everything in that book. I had what every character looked like & what their houses & everything looked like in my head. I guess i do visualize things when the book is well written.

I don`t know how to stop the imagine, the whole scenes are in mt mind, just like they are already rooted.i could see any small changes on every figures, including their mental action, their wearing, their talking...wow,how exciting when all the scenes happened in my mind.cos i could control the whole story. i`ve written some scripts before, and it had been showed by some people in college.of course i was a director here.very interesting and it was a amazing when you looked at the show.i mean,to be a director is a hard but meaningful things for you must understand everything about each figure. by the way,i love writing, perfect creativity in my mind.

Yes I completely agree with you... My first novel was Harry Potter and while reading I used to create the situations in my mind...and get the scenes... Actually I had watched the 2nd part of movie before reading the series So whenever the characters in the books come I used to think about the characters in the movie and correspond to the situation I was readin with....Kinda funny na... According to researchers our mind has an average of 60,000 thoughts a day and no doubt these imaginative visions are a part of it.... But the most cold bone experience was when I was reading The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown....oh God!!! now also when I think about it my body hairs stand straight....Superb presentation..... ~Cheerio~

That is the number one thing about books over movies - you get to use YOUR imagination and not the director's. I can't imagine reading any fiction without any visualization to it. Otherwise it's just words.

Usually I try to visualize as long as it's an understandable description. Its funny because sometimes if its a book that later becomes a movie, the movie version always turns out looking 100x better than what I imagined in the book. It happened to me with "The Lost World: Jurassic Park". Weird.

No matter what book I am reading, I imagine the characters and scenes. I think that it what makes a book even better than a movie.

Yeah I imagine the scenes when I'm reading a fiction novel because I'm just usually really focused in on what I'm reading. It's great having your imagination run wild while you're reading a really great book. One of my favorites to do that with was Neuromancer by William Gibson.
