How do you greet people in your mother tongue???

Hi All!! I was just wondering!! How do you greet others in your mother tongue. Certainly I know,how to greet others in English. In my mother tongue,that is in Hindi,it goes like that: Welcome:Swagatam Hello:Namaskar Be free to post. Thank you!! Happy Mylotting!

Well being a Bengali we say Kamon aacho or kamon aachen (with respect). C ya. Bodhi

Hey!! So,you are a bengali!! Thats great. "Namaskar" is the common word,though it has become almost obsolete.Kemon aacho is How are you!!

It is very typical issue, if yu don't know there mother tongue. Overall I just say, Namastay with smile on my face so that anybody can understand what I want to say to him.

I'm Filipino so when I greet people in my mother tongue, I say: Magandang Umaga! (Good Morning!) or Kamusta Ka? (How are you?)

Hi tuyakiki, in Italy we say "ciao" for hello, hi, bye... it's informal, but I guess that's what you were looking for. Ciao!
