How are you preparing for Summer?

I live in Canada and only came out of hibernation 2 weeks ago. Today I saw my first watermelon in the stores and bought one. It made me think of summer and how much I LOVE fruit. Are you preparing for summer from a health standpoint? Cheers, Terri

Great to hear that you are preparing for this summers. I love summers because of the variety of fruits that is available during this seasons.Oh!!!I also love watermelons. Apart from water melon,I love grapes,mangoes,bananas and jack fruit.I think,to maintain good health,a person should take lots of fruit juices and water.

Hi Tuyakiki.....I am curious to know what jack fruit is. There is so much water in fruit, maybe that's part of why I eat them all summer long....

Yes, I am planning in the sense that to drink pure fruit juices all through the summer. Fruit juices relieve us of all the heat within our bodies. But the water that gets mixed with the juice should be carefully taken note of. We have to see to it that good water and preferably mineral water is used by the vendor in the preparation of fruit juices.

Absolutely right..I'm very fussy about the kind of water I drink. For those of you that are into maintaining an alkaline state in your body, the 2 best things to eat are watermelon and lemons. Cheers and thanks for the response.

Hi there! Here in my country it's already scorching hot. All through out the day till night time it's hot. Our electric fans are on always cause it really feels hot and you can't stand the heat. Sometimes the heat gives me headache. I try to cool down myself by taking lots of fluids. During hot days I tend to perspire a lot and I need fluids to replace what is lost. I try to consume at least 1.5mL or more of drinking water. I also eat fruits cause they contain lots of fluids. Drinking juice also helps and a good snack too. I also take baths at least twice a day, morning and evening before going to bed. The perspiration can sometimes make you smell not wonderful hehe. Besides, it's good to sleep if you feel refreshed.
