How long will you have a haircut?

Usually it will spend me an hour to finish a haircut, including washing the hair. I don't want to waste more time on it. My friend ever spent 8 hours in the hair salon and it is unbelievable for me

8 hours?!? What the heck was she doing in there for 8 hours? LOL I think the most it took me to get a haircut at the salon was half an hour at the most. First I had to wait in the waiting room, then get my hair washed, got my hair cut and styled, if necessary, pay the cashier and off I'd go. Of course I haven't been to a salon in ages, but I'm sure it wouldn't take 8 hours to get my hair cut, especially since my husband can trim my hair in just a few seconds!

I don't have 8 hours to spend in a salon! My haircut including washing is usually 30-45 minutes...not more than that. And that is very tight for me....because I'm usually dropping at the salon in between work (because the salon is closer to my workplace than my home). I've been thinking of straightening my hair but when I was told it will take atleast 3 hours....I decided against it...since I don't have the time.

The waiting time for a haircut is usually longer than the actualy getting of the haircut... and the longest for me was like 45 minutes... that 8 hours is just too long... i could have done a lot of thing with that time... But if it is not just a haircut... like i if i will ask them to do something else like a perm or hairspa... then that might take 2 hours at most...

Hi,youless, The last time I had my haircut was on 19th Mar..Almost I have my haircut once a month. Now, I will stick to one hairstyle-ballet bun,for I think it's simple, elegant, and suitable for me. In history, some great woman have one hairstyle all their lives,e.g. Song Menling.Actually I enjoy being bald just like natalie portman. In this aspect, I think it isn't necessary to waste money and time to make myself more busy. I am lazy, you know, following the trend is not I want to do. But I care the health of my hair. I use olive oil to protect my hair everyday from the environment damage. :)

More than half an hour is a little longer for me, I prefer to have very very short hair on my head. As it looks like good with short hair for me. It's common to see a lady to spend several hours in the hair salon, it makes they look pretty after taking of their hair, I think.

I do not usually go to the salon. I just had my haircut last month and the last time before that was last 2007. I wanted to grow my hair so it took me so long to have it cut. Since it is now summer and it is terribly hot, I decided to cut it half its entire length. I can still use a ponytail to fix it because it is still below shoulder length. I am not used to expensive hair treatment, maybe because I do not have enough money and I have no work yet.

When I go to a salon for a haircut, usually it takes about an hour because the salon staff needs to shampoo my hair first then cut it, blow dry it afterwards. The quickie haircut I got was a long time ago in just 15 minutes! The gay hairstylist was so proficient in hair cutting that I was so impressed with him. I never spent 8 hours in a salon for such a haircut. I have other things to do during the day so I will not waste my time on such an 8hour hair cut like your friend, maybe she is trying to kill time so thats a good example for her.

I usually have a haircut once a month and I wear very short hair. When I wash my face, I wash my head, too. I find it convenient. The haircut usually takes me about twenty minutes including the waiting time. I never dye my hair for it is black enough.

youless, And you consider 8 hours excessive? Well, I have known of friends, the ladies (pardon me) to spend 12++ hours in the salon. I think this will explain the internet enabled computers in these hair salons. I think it is all dependable what they are in for, like treatments, dying of hair, perms and many others. So it comes as no surprise to me and 8 hours (believe me) is really nothing. Girls just like to look pretty by nature. Cheers. P.S. I am sure you would have news from Pickjack, so I hope that you are happy here.

I usually never cut my hair regularly, but just go for wash and trimming it nearly takes me 1 and half hour or 2 hours. but some times if i have got some hair treatments to be done i have to spend 6 to 8 hours in the salon as the treatment takes a lot of time though. normally i never go to salon for hair treatments just visit in 4 or 5 months gaps. happy mylotting

I do go to the salon. It never took me 8 hours though!! I am still wondering what your friend has been doing! If the hairdresser dyes, cuts and blows my hair - time varies from 2 hours to 2 hours and a half. I have medium length hair, a few inches below my shoulders and it never took me that long to have a cut and hair colouring! Obviously I keep appointment time and even the hairdresser does, so if I have to be there say at 10, and I am there on time, she starts me within minutes I walk in the door.

Frankly, I don't understand why my friend could spend so long time in the hair salon. I admitted that she had a nice haircut after that, but I think it still wasted the time anyway.

Hi youless, I think the longest I have spent in a salon is about 3 hours, but that is because I got my hair cut and colored! It honestly doesn't really bother me because I have a great friendship with the lady that does my hair :)

Good morning, youless. It is hard to imagine for some people to stay so long at the barber shop for the haircut. I will never do that. One hour is quite ok on my side because sometimes I will have to wait for my turn for my haircut. But I have a favorite lady barber not far away from my school. She can always make me happy with the haircut. In fact, I also introduce some of my colleagues to her shop for a haircut. They love it as well. Good day, youless.

Being a male, and having my hair cut short, my haircuts only take about 5 - 10 minutes at the most. My wife cuts my hair at home and there is no styling to it. I keep it cut in a crew-cut style.

I second that and yeah, your friend had probably more than just a haircut done. :D Me, I want in-and-out of the salon in less than an hour (including wait-time). That's why I shampoo and condition my hair and make sure it's still wet when I come in for a trim or styling. :)

Morning, youless. it takes me 1 hour always. I am afraid to sit there at the mercy of the barber for long time. Maybe it is only half hour i could stand for, but for a good looking,i try best to endure 1 hour.lol
