This can happen to all of us. Yesterday I was visiting a site for free downloads. This site offers free software (useful software). I downloaded file and all was good until I noticed and icon that is displayed on the system tray of my PC. Its weird since I never installed this software before. The bad thing of this program is that its slows down my computer to point that browsing the net is a pain. It displays pop-ups and ads that so annoying. I figured out a software that can resolve this but to no avail.
Can anyone advice me of a way to remove this annoyances and make my computer safer as I surf the net?

Installing ghost is a good idea but I once had a problem with the software instead. Ghost actually amplify the problem since the malware embedded itself to the Ghost file so that every time that I restart my pc after it was infected, it regenerates itself with Ghost. So, from then on, Im not using it anymore.

I am using three antivirus applications at the same time COMODO Internet Security, Avire Free Edition, Macafee Enterprise Edition 8.0.0. My COMODO is a torrent downloaded application and I updated only once and got complete antivirus database updates. My AVIRA is always updated manually while mcafee enterprise I need to update by downloading its manual updates that has a size of 98-100 megabytes. I also have a USB Disk Security and lots of maintenance utilities like tune-up utilities, winutilites, advance care system 3, ashampoo optimizer and atf cleaner. I do not use windows update. This is my full protection of my windows xp. I got Athlon x2 5000+ and 2 gig ram for running my operating system.

Ya, You can delete these type of softwares by 1 application which all in one utility software name " Glary Utilities" try to findout full version on net.
It helps to clean your tempfiles from all the drives togather, force remove, registry cleaner, splitter etc.
