There is no 'proper' time to have children and they are a blessing, it may become expensive as they grow but there are ways and means that you find to clothe feed, send them to school etc etc, you cut your coat accoding to your cloth, children don't expect expensive things and if they do then you just have to tell them you cannot afford it...my daughter is a single mum her boy is now five, she has brought him up well she has managed on very little money to feed him, clothe him and get him to school...no matter how hard it gets she manages..so don't be scared about having children you will always manage somehow...littleowl

Don't be scared, be prepared. Kids cost money, its a fact of life. Just budget for their education, clothes, food. You'll be fine.

It really costs a lot, I have two kids and I just finished the stage of having to buy bags and bags of diapers plus formula milk. Now both of them are in pre-school and I don't even know where I will get the money to pay their tuition. And since they are growing up kids, they have increasing appetites so there should always be food in the fridge and cabinets. Entertainment is not such a big deal because kids gets easily amused with simple things. I can't imagine what I should do to be able to save up for their elementary, high school and college tuitions.

There is nothing to be scared of. Kids are expensive. But you just find ways to economize. There are coupons you can use in the grocery store. I didn't buy brand new cloths. I shopped at thrift shops, salvation army, and good will stores. When you have kids you learn how to stretch a penny. It is a labor of love so it doesn't matter.
