Money Doesn't Solve Problems

Many have the faulty belief that money solves all problems. The opposite is actually true, people with money tend to be less content and have additional problems. Problems come in all shapes to lick on humans and it is always there as long as we are all still breathing in the free air outside. The only people without problems are the dead.
It is undeniable that lack of money gives us miseries in life, additional problems to our many existing personal problems. The rich might not suffer as much as the poor but their wealth brings them different kind of problems like alcoholic and drugs problems. They constantly worry about losses in the stock market and this brings them headaches and sleepless nights.
Financial problems are usually a symptom of other personal problems. Do you think that money is no substitute for the basic problem solving skills?

well i totally agree with u because i have suffered from both the part of life . well i m only a small boy of 16 years but i have really greed for money from now , and i seem to talk like a grown up , at this small age . well in the recent past , i became too greedy on money . well actually im greedy even now , but now there is a difference between both the times . earlier i totally loved money and ignore the people who loved me . so i always used to fell lonely and when i felt sad there was no one to cheer me up .
but now i have a friend that helps me too much and she has really shown me wht is life , now i fell more happy than i was ever before. actually now i have balanced between money and human emotions. well i have divided my work during the day for human emotions and money . now i work 5 hrs on mylot , 2 hrs for chatting with friends. and something around 4 hrs studying . well it is a busy schedule but i like this , because it has all ingredients in it.
well but still i agree that if u run all time behind money then suerly ur going to become sad. so u should noe how to balance between money and love , because love cant buy u money and money cant buy u love .

To be honest, I don't really quite believe your age here? I mean by the way you write, your have the mental age of someone much older then what you declare your age to be. It is likely that you have a high IQ and you can really come up with a good response that any adult reader can be misled to think you are one of us. . What can I say BOY but to salute your well thought our response.

Well, can't live with it, Cannot live without it either.
That is why there is a never ending pursuit of money.
One can never have enough. And when one has plenty, one will still invariably find something missing in life.
I guess it takes a lot of balancing between the two to really lead a satisfactory life.
I for one would never mind having some extra cash to keep!

In the pursuit of earning money humans tend to become obsessed with it and will do anything to outdo everybody else. This has become a habitual trend of society everywhere which leaves a trail of miseries behind. They don't seem to have enough of these pieces of printed papers.lol

I agree with you to some extent.
But without those little piece of printed paper, life cannot really go on either.
Even if you were to live on a farm where you grow everything you eat and are self-sustaining, you still gotta deal with money.
Think property tax and you will know what I mean.
No one can do without it!
The sad paradox of life. Can't live with it, can't live without either!

To me, money doesn't solve problems (although it can at times).
As far as I'm concerned...money CREATES problems.
I wonder what the world would be like, if money were out-lawed altogether?

the money is everything, the rich but not necessarily happier. from the point of view of the poor, money is happiness. my own experience financial difficulty, although I have a husband who have the money, but I can not participate enjoy. I do not know, what can be happy if I have a lot of money.

What little money the poor has is of course a great happiness for them. Don't you share your money with your hubby? I believe his money is also your money right? But it is better to earn your own money. Let us women prove that we can stand on our own two feet. Thanks for coming to my post.

Hello my friend zandi458 Ji
You are absolutely right. It creates first problem to safe-guard it from others as well\
as self, as we may mis-use it. I am fully supportive with my concept :
"MONEY IS SOMETHING, BUT NOT EVERYTHING"
May God bless you and have a great time.

I agree with u 99 percent,, the topic is great ,,when u have less money u have less expense( generally), more money comes with a lot of problems,,the other 1 percent is that if u have,to a certain extent u can but happiness,if u have the (extra) money),, but the best way to use ur extra money is to invest it in something that will definitely bring happiness when u most need it,,For example knowledge, health,,and the list goes on

Whether money is a good substitute depends on the money perspective of the individual. Money does solve material needs whether one needs it or not. However, no matter how rich you are, money cannot stop one from growing old. One may have the money to go for a complete overall physically or even the internal organs, money cannot hide the fact the person has aged. It cannot reduce the age of the individual. Money cannot stop the person from breathing forever.

Money is the enabler that allows people to buy material things, but money cannot solve all problems. It cannot for example buy happiness or a guarantee to good health, nor a hand in marriage from anyone one wishes. Some of the happiest people in the world are not those who have all the riches they can possess. In fact with money, people can have less security because they need to worry about losing their wealth, or people wanting to get at their riches. They say that money is the root of all evil, but I feel that money in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. What's more important is the management of money. If the custodians of wealth use their money for evil things like drinking, gambling and womanizing, rather than good things like serving the community or being philanthropic, then what's the good of having lots of wealth? Instead of solving problems, this will bring about more problems to both the rich and the society they are in.

Hi zandi, I would agree with you, money often causes more problems instead of bringing us less. Those with little money always envy the rich, it has always been that way, but I've been around long enough to know that money is not always the blessing that some people believe it to be. It is very sad that there are so many hungry and homeless people in the world while others have enough for a dozen lifetimes. If we all understood things properly, there would be enough for all and less worries for everyone. Blessings.

Hi Pose,
Unfortunately, we are not so lucky. We suffer with lack of money while the rich become richer but hopefully the rich are able to understand the plight of the poor. They should be more charitable to elevate the standard of living for the homeless and hungry people. But this is unlikely to happen to the filthy rich guys.

Great discussion! You have made some good points. Actually while having money cna be a good thing and can indeed solve some problems liek getting your bills paid etc. I have found that people who have lot of it, seems ot be obssessed and focused on how they can make more.
Not only that, once the money starts to grow and pass a million or couple hundred thousand dollars, they are more reluctant to spend it.
There was a rich woman from USA who said, Money is like manure, spread it around or else it stinks" an I agree with her. She came to find out that because of her money, her family didn't really love her, they were just tolerating her to see how much money they can get from her, which was very sad.
Money can never subsitute problem solving skills - it can only help so much.

Money can strain family relationships. How sad it can be when you think you work hard to accumulate your wealth and others frown at you and are envious of your wealth. Being wealthy and uncomfortable with people around you is a great problem in itself.

i agree w/you zandi, money can solve some problems but it can make alot of problems to. i'm just thankful i have what i have & manage to pay my bills & have too much to eat. money sure can't buy happiness. alot of people think it can but i have seen where it doesn't.if someone was to give me a bunch of money today i really don't know of anythin i want or need. doesn't take much to make me happy. i think it's up to you to make yourself happy. when u get there & have peace of mind you have suceeded in my opinon. there are things that didn't work out as i wanted but it had nothing to do w/money, have a happy day.

As we know that money isnt everything but it can solve many problems. My dreamboy failed to see me last week because of financial problem.Later I realized that it might just be his excuse. Its not money problem.I was very hurt. So,I think money can only solve problems when it is wisely used.On the contrary,it may make things worse.

I also agreed with you that money is not the only solution to our problems. We are now in a society, where we are taught to accept money as our priceless items. But, in reality, it isn't a priceless items but it is the most dangerous weapon to our society. You can heard everywhere that money is the source problem creator of this universe. Without money, you will be facing all sorts of problems everyday. But, those having too much money, still also having all sorts of problem, too. So, money just can't solve any problems at all..

Yeah, money can do a lot for people, but it can't do everything. No one can buy time, or real love, or real self worth...those things people can have with no money at all, although it's difficult for them to see that they can be blessed, it can make them stronger, wiser people than the wealthy if they utilize what they have. I don't agree with you that rich people suffer less than poor people or those who lack though. I don't think that can be said in every case. suffering can be great and experienced more by the rich or the poor depending on what is happening to them.

Personally especially in todays Economic situation, most people that tend to have money are considered Greedy, and personally Greed and money can be the root of all evil. Most people who have a lot of $$ tend to be unhappy as well even though they tend to sometimes think they are better than everyone else, and nothing else matters. But ask them for a dime and you really get shunned as well.
For me, I think I value $$ more having to work hard for it, and having to occassionally pinch pennies to get buy as well. So personally I would not want to have a lot of $$, if I was to forget where I once came from as well.

True enough money may not solve all problems but it sure provides a lot of relief in a world where everything revolves around Money! Afterall, Money determines the quality of schooling you can get, Money determines the quality of neighborhood you can live in, Money determines the quality of food you can eat, Money prevents bill collectors from harassing the living daylights outta you, Money determines the type of lifestyle you can provide for you and your family, Money even determines your social status and the types of people you can associate with and who will associate with you. The list goes on & on... Studies show that financial problems are the cause of more than 50% divorce rate. Usually anyone who says "oh money is not important" hasn't felt the sting and pain of being broke, busted, disgusted, hungry or even homeless! In this life money is just like Air - We all need it to live. Thanks for you topic.

I see you have put great importance on money and which I do agree with you. This is the reasons why people work or run business is because of the reward of money. But not everything revolves around money that makes our life a pleasant journey. They are a lot more personal problems that can't be settled with money. And that is the subject of this topic today.

I do agree with your views because money is not only the instrument to get something so apart from money we can get many things for example love, feeling, happiness, service those one really play than money.

You are right; money does not solve all problems. Take health for instance, you can't buy good health and without it life is tough; money can buy you good medical assistance but not necessarily good health.
Money does make life easier in many aspects but, as you say, cannot solve some problems; lack of it though can certainly create huge struggles (been there done that!)but I agree basic problem solving skills are paramount in any circumstance.
It is important to remember that love, friends and family are all free!

Living in this materialistic world, it is impossible to survive without money especially living in big cities. It seems that eveytime we open our mouth it means money. But on other side of the coin, money can mean nothing when it touches on emotional and personal problems. Not everything can be settled with money. Even the rich find mounting problems but of course their problems stems mostly from money issues. The rich may have less pain in settling their problems compared to those who are cash strap.

Hi zandi, So you deny the saying - "Money is money, sweeter than honey, brighter than the Sun, without money nothing can be done". Money does matter and money does not matter too. I too would opine that though money is necessary tool to meet our basic amenities it causes helluva problems at times.
As on one hand money meets problems, it creates too. As you have rightly said for some it becomes a burden which costs their peace of mind. This is why the father of Robinson Crusoe had advised him to adopt middle stage of life. But Crusoe did not comply with his father's advice and as a result face the lonely life for 28 years in an uninhabitated island. For him money became the cause of the tragic life.
Besides though money has the all grasping power over the material gains and pleasures as ell it falls flt when things come down to the mental and spiritual level. Well with your money you can buy my body which is fragile and decaying, but not my respect, my love nor my binding soul.
Money has been compared with the Satanic Power. And Satan himself is a problem. And finally agreeing to your point as the fact and evidences are in your support, must say, money no way can solve problems.

I agree money is important in life as everything we do and want has direct link with money. Maybe I can add the popular saying 'No money no honey'. It is all evil and satanic as you said as the power of money is unholy, it binds and blinds even the most holy soul.

For me as long as you have money, you will never lose problems and it will come along the way as long as you have money. You can't count money in the world and you will be able to count many problems that it will make for you in the future as long you have it. Its a never ending responsible to solve the problems made through it.
