Do you know April 1 Virus a.k.a. Conficker and does it affect you?

from your topic i know this virus and search on the net ,i know more informations about it .
there are many virus on the internet that we can not prevent them effectively.only we can do i think is to install valid anti-virus soft to protect our pc from kinds of virus .

You're right about that damojinghong but these threats now are becoming more sophisticated than before. If you have watched the movie "Troy", you can infer that walls are not the safest way to protect yourself from outside attacks.
This analogy is simple - you build a wall to protect you computer from attacks - antivirus, anti spy ware, etc. These things only protect you when these things are active or activated. Once they are deactivated, they cannot do anything. Some viruses can disable you antivirus in split second.
How could this be done? Malicious software makers accomplish this feat by the masquerading a malicious software as a benign one. Even website can slip a malicious code from their servers to you computer without yourself knowing. Scripts such as Javascript can easily be created and exploited to spy on every user that is connected to their servers. Whether the for the sole purpose of tracking browser behavior to stealing passwords, these can be of great threat to the user's personal safety.
There are a lot things that needed to be learned but we only have a little time to figure it out. Not even myself is wholly protected from this. Not even the spy agencies in the U.S. - the same entity that spied on its people can also be spied back.

Forgive my ignorance, i never know about a virus like that.
Could you please tell me what is the symptom if i got my computer affected by such a virus? Athough i am not so scared of being affected by one.

Its easy to recognize this type of attack. If you one day you'll notice that your computer is acting weird (you'll know this by observation). Second, once you are infected with this, you cannot access websites such as Microsft.com, symantec.com or any other website that help updates and protects your computer.
The main objective of this type of attack is to prevent you from calling help from these sites. There are other unknown activities that it can do like stealing bank accounts or emails so you better be watchful to this.
If someone or a software or a website warns you that you are infected with this, also beware. It could be that this are just ploy from scammers for you to commit a security breach on your computer.

yes i too have hears about confiker virus , actually on 1st of April every discussion in computer section was related to this virus only . well i don't know much about tis virus , but i know that this virus deletes every thing in ur hard disk( well i reads this information on some discussion) .no i wasn't affected by this virus but on 1st i had to format my pc since there was some problem in my system drive .

I am not affected by this virus but I got the notice from Avast Antivirus on 1st april that be alert from conflicker( I am using Avast).
So I am not affected by this, cause I have good antivirus in my PC.

You me not be experiencing problems right now but this type of is a tricky and cunning. They said this worm has yet to manifest itself since it hides inside you computer and since it is a remotely-enabled program, it the one that owns it on the other side of the network can do as he pleases.
So, we have not yet seen the best and worst of this Conficker thing.
