If any one try to login then he's password will go to that frud person or fishers. So I am Alert and you should also. Have you ever experieced?

These mails are flying around allover the world. Banks will not ask you to change any details using email. The will contact you to personally go to the bank and change it there. If you get such a mail just mark it as spam and ignore it. That is the best way to go.

I have gotten them, but I used to work at a financial instiutution and this was a common phishing probelem that you would be surprised how many people would do it and end up in a mess!! There is so much spam and scams these days. As we used to say at the bank, If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!!" Too, most banks will not have a link at all or request info by email. If you have questions about it , call the bank itself.

Yes, i have gotten these types of scams before. Lol!!! As if we dont know we dont have account there. I have also got some supposed to be from ebay saying they want to ask a question about an item i have for sell. Lol!!! I should know if i have stuff listed or not. There are evem scams claiming to be from pay pal. These robbers will try anything. Im sure they may actually rip off some unexperienced internetters. A newbee. Very important!!! NEVER SIGN INTO ANYTHING THROUGH A LINK IN A E MAIL! ALWAYS GO DIRECTLY TO A SITE TO SIGN IN!

I know & I am aware about these kind of mails thats why I am keeping 1 personal Email ID where I can connect with my Friends only. but it was my first experience to see same login page like bank's Real Page so I just complained to the bank & they blocked that page. It is very easy to being trapped in these mail for new users.

Receiving such emails is normal. I just ignore them as I know banks will never ask for logins or passwords over internet. To help the banks tightened up their security and putting up alert messages, I do forward the email to the bank.

you are right that Banks will not contact you through Email because of Spams Email is not the secure way of communication for Banks. Thts why they will inform you through call or notice when you login to your account in Banks website.

Many many people try this on net...even the reputed site like mylot is copied and they ask about updating your info, but you should never follow any links to open these financial accounts and open it in a new page by putting the adress in the bar by yourself, otherwise u may be cheated at any time.

Hello net_ankit When I worked in my last company, I received almost 300 emails that was tring to cheat and trick peoples. They were all claiming that they were from a bank overseas, or emails asking for help to inherit a huge amount of money. I never believe a free lunch in this world. So I hope everybody would be tricked by them.

There are frequent warnings in the newspapers of internet scams where mails are sent to internet users asking them to give their bank details etc and these are supposed to come from banks. If you have an account with the bank then one should get in touch with the bank and verify whether they have really sent the mail. If they haven`t then you know it is a scam and you should delete it. In your case you were not a member of the bank so you know it is a fraud. Many times i get mails saying i have won millions of dollars in a lottery or my email id won a lottery etc. In it they ask for all you details. Its a scam and i just simply delete them.

Friend when you experienced this kind of cheating you have to specify that site address so others can save him from that scam like you. I am also posting my experience because everybody know about this and stay alert. after this I am very intrested that Internet user should have some safety to complaint agaist him like any these kind of mails or other site. so next time no one can do fraus with others, only through these steps we can make Internet SAFE.

I get emails like this all the time. I don't even bother opening them because I know that they are just phishing sites. If my bank really needs to get ahold of me for something regarding my account, they will either call or drop a letter in the mail. I think that it s best to simply delete messages like this.

I also do that, just open it check it & delete, not replying them. If possible then I contact bank & inform them about this phising.

Yeah I spent over forty dollars on some e-books and I got completely ripped off. They said my payment cleared and then when I went to download them it said the link was missing. I tried to call them, I tried to email them, I tried to mail them, and nothing worked so I guess I learned to buy only from legitimate websites.

I am sorry to hear that. I think we all should be very cautious shopping online nowadays, too many cheaters are around. You are so nice to tell your experience to us, that reminds me I should be more careful to buy online, I will purchase on online shops recommended by friends.

I received such mail 15 days back, in the name of pay pal asking me to verify some of the details of my PayPal account. As I have heard about this type of fraudulence earlier, I did not follow the link given in that mail. Also I reported about this mail to PayPal but unfortunately I did not get any reply from pay pal also. They might be well known about this. If we receive any such mail then we should never follow the link given there as they will easily know our password easily.

they sent varification mail after you registration, and If you are not registered then it is definetly cheating. It is very shamefull that paypal is not replying when we are inform them about this mail & telling him for their security & their customer's security. They must reply.

What you mentioned is very true. Two type of scams have become very popular recently. One is the famous Nigerian email scams which says you have won a million dollar or pound and you need to follow these steps etc etc and if you happen to follow those steps and give them your bank account details in anticipation of receiving the money ......... the next day everything is gone from your account. The other one is this email mimicking to be mails from your bank. They will say due to system upgrades you need to update your account and redirect you to a very similar site as your bank. The moment you enter that account number and password ...... the game is over. People like me and you who are using the internet for long generally do not fall prey to such things but new users are very prone .... so this kind of scams are becoming very popular in developing nations where internet usage is picking up slowly.

As much as possible, I don't give any personal infos, I'm very paranoid over this, though I haven't experienced it but if you're not careful maybe in the long run you would loose your privacy. I'm very skeptical, but i trust mylot! ^-^ Careful, don't log in from a link, i've read its phising! ^--^ and also like using another website to get into a site, I think they can fish what you're doing too. ^^

I have been getting emails about such as well. I have been getting them from someone potraying as Paypal and Bank of America as well. I know it is a fraud because I do not have the Bank of America but the Paypal one was kinda of tricky. Good thing they sent it to my other email that has no paypal. It is good that you are sharing this info to help others. If you question an email than you should go with your gut. Happy mylotting and take care.

Remember Banks dont so transaction or inform you through mails, if you get first check it with banks & then do further procedure.
