I am that type of person who avoids taking any medicine for any sickness as much as I can so I try to do natural healing whenever possible. For common colds, I resort on drinking more water than usual and increase my intake of fruits. I also take enough rest to give more time for my body to recover. So far, my common colds are always cured this way.

I I said this common cold is mostly a viral infection & as per the popular belief it goes away in week...so I don't think medicines would be of much help..

I also avoid medicine as much as possible.
if this is a viral cold, you may want to try good ole GARLIC! It's anti-viral, anti-fungal, and boosts your immune system.
If you don't like the taste, bake a whole bulb of it in the oven for about 10 mins and the cloves squeeze right out, you can eat it like that (without the burn) or spread it on crispy loaf bread.
Good Luck and hope you feel better soon
